C4 hint: The second letter is L.

Interesting... What the heck could "K-O" be doing in the clue?

@msh210 Wait, I think I have it and it's very meta... ELEMENTARY = "LMN tree", and it's possibly a reference to the nature of my recent CCCC challenge?

7:29 AM
Clever :0 altho for me I'd interpret K-O as KLMNO and not LMN. Maybe better if "The way from K-O" since it implies that you don't need the start (K) and end (O) points, just the way from the start to end, but that might ruin the surface (and emphasis on "maybe" as well since I'm doubting myself)
(and that interpretation might just be me. Idk what others would think)

@Stiv yep yep

@GarethMcCaughan I'm wondering whether it would have been better to have that comment chain in a mod message?

@GarethMcCaughan I think this is COMELIEST ("most beautiful"). "art arriving" = COMEST, with "rest" = LIE to be inserted (collected within)
seeking cryptic clue help once again: what is "comest" in modern English?
I'm assuming "art arriving" is just "are arriving" but correct me if I'm wrong

11:33 AM
@oAlt (you[singular]) come (present tense)
@oAlt correct

@msh210 thanks v much

@oAlt … though I think "art" is also only for singular you

12:27 PM
@AncientSwordRage It would, but that wasn't possible because it was on puzzling.meta.stackexchange.com not puzzling.stackexchange.com. I don't have the same set of moderator powers on PMSE as on PSE, and in particular I cannot send mod messages there.

@msh210 yea I think so

12:52 PM
yes, "art" is very much only for the singular. Thou art; ye are.
Thou comest = thou art arriving; ye come = ye are arriving.

@GarethMcCaughan ahh, thanks for the clarifications as well

Q: Are there any Rubik's Cube solvers who can solve a cube to an arbitrary position?

T HummusBy "solve to an arbitrary position" I mean something like I give you two scrambled cubes and you make one cube match the other. This question and its answers confirms that it's possible, but are there any well-known solvers who can do this repeatedly?

@AncientSwordRage I can. But it somehow seems inappropriate to do that about something on the meta site. And there's something to be said for having the reprimand be public, in any case.

Hints should be non-necessary - given the quantity of answers here, it seems that the pre-hint question is not sufficiently precise/has too little information to yield a single clear answer. "A question where multiple answers fit equally well without the hints is too broad. It doesn't have to be closed, but the necessary information should be moved from the hints into the main part of the question itself." - I've voted to close this Q, but will retract/reopen-vote once enough important information is in the open. — bobble 10 secs ago

@GarethMcCaughan unfortunately I don't think it's had any impact at all
@GarethMcCaughan and I think it's completely appropriate. I wasn't sure initially, but see my questions in TL earlier.
