What if all along the clue was actually a ddef and the answer is both a "gift given by revolutionary Greek" and a "character during short flight from Egypt"
@Jafe That wouldn't be a good definition. "Ex" is short for the title of the book that describes the flight; the flight itself, the exodus, doesn't afaik have its name abbreviated.
1. "short flight from Egypt" means EX or EXOD 2. Statement 1 is false 3. Definition is "Gift" 4. Definition is "character during..." 5. "revolutionary Greek character" means "a Greek letter name reversed"
Not sure if I missed other statements...
Though I'm not sure what Jafe meant by the last statement; if he meant "the actual symbol for the Greek letter, reversed" then that's a bit naughty, lol
This is part 7 of the puzzle series that started at Living the traveller's dream. Each part is solvable on its own.
Dear Puzzling,
As you have probably noticed, I visit quite a lot of different places and do a lot of different things each week. Even so, there are always places that I could hav...
Hmm, Stiv did say that the word is obscure, so Statement 4 could be false because "obscure" applies more to a common noun rather than a proper noun...?
Runt of the litter, I was cast from the family.
They called me cold and distant but I do have a heart.
Many fear me although I have brought laughter and wealth.
You do not want to be where I dwell...
And yet you are already in me.
I'm going insane. Does anyone know if there is a way to force i.stack.imgur to accept a .png without converting it to a .jpg? I need lossless compression and I can't use GIF because I need more than 256 colors....
Should've thought about that before starting to make a [steganography] puzzle :)
ah, no, I take it back. I mean, their website does say that, but it also says this: "Non-animated images over 1MB for anonymous uploads and 5MB for account holders will be lossily compressed."
A student asked our teacher about her favorite type of dog during a distance learning meeting. She uploaded the image shown below, said it's our homework to figure that out, and left the call.
What's her favorite type of dog?
In case it's not obvious, the two-sentence "story" is made up.
