Q: Weaponized Riddles

WhipStreak23Ian Peleaga was on a quest. It was said arms dealers had a huge operation here in southern Atlanta and as an FBI agent, it was his job to expose it. He had traced some dealers to an abandoned house at the edge of Douglas. The crime boss had taken a liking to him and wanted him to follow them. Ian...

glances at Jafe

5:03 AM
:P
you could actually make a book of existing PSE puzzles, just need to credit the authors and include the license info
not sure who would pay for it once they realise the content is available online for free but hey, you never know

never underestimate what people will pay for convenience.
"either I have to go searching through the archives of this random site, or I open up a nicely-formatted packet of puzzles"
and who says you even charge?

people who want to keep a book of cryptic puzzles in their bag, for when internet isn't on hand :)

5:40 AM

Darn, this C4 clue I'm making was going so well, but it ends in a set of letters that I feel are notoriously hard to clue, and especially with this surface

aand while doing that i've neglected writing the preamble for tomorrow's crossword... expect another late posting

doesn't change the fact that it's still the bomb

9:07 AM
if the grid contains "tsar" it can be the Tsar Bomba

Q: What's the name of this type of puzzle?

HeimdallIt involves logical/mathematical puzzle(s), so no wishy washy different interpretations like in riddles. The puzzle in question tells a story involving a puzzle, but some details about the puzzle in the story are incomplete or missing. The solvers in story (assumed to be super capable of making l...

@Sphinx worst title of a puzzle identification request

@bobble (you forgot an "of" in the title there)
i'd edit but it would be awkward if two editors immediately gang up on a single puzzle

@oAlt why? I do that all the time when I think the previous editor missed something

Q: Weaponized Riddles: Dishing it out

WhipStreak23Of course! MIX, 1009, Coffee, it all made sense! Arriving at 1009 Coffee Ave S, he walked into the house, finding the door slightly open. It was in pristine condition, just like the house he and his wife had bought. Sitting on the couch, he picked up the note lying on the table. This is a pretty...

@bobble the awkwardness could be subjective, i guess, but i think i'd only interfere if the previous editor missed a major edit; in this case it's only two letters and a space
but still, up to you :0

Based on the hints provided below, guess the word on Day 0. On Day 1, I am what dreamers do. On Day 2, No one can unders...

Q: This is a puzzling riddle!

FairOPShotgunWhat has leaves, and is not a tree, has skin, and is not an animal? I thought of a book.. since the leaves are like pages and the cover is like the skin. What do you guys think?

9:34 PM
@Deusovi Could this possibly be PARAFFIN? As in PAR AF (very average) + FIN ($5) = 'wax' (WARNING: First link is NSFW!)

that's correct!

Ha! It made me laugh when I worked out the significance of 'very average'...!
(had to google for the money slang)
