Q: Minimize the longest King chain on a 7x7 binary board

Dmitry KamenetskyThis puzzle is an extension of this one: Minimize the longest King chain on a 5x5 binary board Given a grid filled with numbers, we define a King chain to be a path on the grid such that: The path can be traversed with chess King's moves (moving to one of 8 adjacent cells at a time), The numbers...

Q: Minimize the longest King chain on a 6x6 ternary grid

Dmitry KamenetskyTwo knights are placed on opposite corners of a 4x4 grid. Can you move* each knight 7 times, such that each cell of the grid is visited exactly once by exactly one of the knights? *Note that a knight moves 1 cell in one direction (horizontal or vertical) and two cells in an orthogonal direction.

Any ideas on the C4?
It's been up for three days with no clues :P
@BeastlyGerbil That sounds like a mathematical hell

@PrinceNorthLæraðr I have an idea, but it's pretty much a stretch

Q: How to get the least possible sum in a closed loop set of squares?

Chris Steinbeck BellThe puzzle is as follows: The figure from below represents a set of 12 squares joined forming a closed loop. By using only the numbers from 1 to 12 fill in the blanks. The condition is that, without repeating any number. It must be fulfilled that the sum of the four values written along each sid...

my best guess is it's either "kiss king" inside "trouble" for an answer meaning "ring", or "kiss" inside "trouble" for an answer meaning "king's ring"
apparently none of the named rings in LOTR are 9 letters long
"(in) trouble" could be an anagram indicator but qat knows no one-word anagrams of "kiss king's"

Q: How many matchsticks are needed to be removed to get none triangles?

Chris Steinbeck BellThe puzzle is as follows: By only using matchsticks of equal length it has been built a set of equilateral triangles as indicated in the figure from below. Relying in that information, What is the minimum number of matchsticks that must be removed so that there isn't any of those triangles? Th...

I can give a hint for the C4 if one's wanted, but I'm not sure what sort of hint would be useful. It's a pretty short clue so giving information about how the wordplay works seems like it might be more information than wanted. (I dunno, maybe everyone just wants it out of the way :-).) I could give a letter, or say something about the structure of the clue. Or nothing at all, of course. Preferences?

11:40 AM
I'd go for "the def part is X"

I'd go for a letter.

+1 to a letter

1:57 PM
+1 for def

2:09 PM
CCCC hint: The first letter is C.
