For what it's worth, I try to sandwich any negative criticism with positive points at the start and the end ("Glad you find this interesting! [This is not an answer, make it a comment], but great work finding all this, I'm sure it will be helpful to solvers!")
I saw the stuff with the Pokemon answer, I agree that could have been a comment - most people who play Pokemon can quickly identify Pokemon and didn't need the links. I feel bad they put the work in but that's just the guidelines.
@Sciborg All of them are equally awesome for me, though it's a tie between Infernape or Empoleon- Empoleon definitely looks cooler, but Infernape is a better pokemon
I had this whole draft in progress, do you want me to still work on it...? They obviously got there first if they have the answer, so I don't want to get accused of stealing or whatever.
spanish teacher chooses "victims" to e.g. translate stuff. he tends to pick randomly. when you are called on, you must unmute your mic and answer the question. if you don't respond within 10 seconds, you are marked absent for the entire day.
@PrinceNorthLæraðr Ha, the comment on your post is a reference to the fact I beasted a question about Pokémon types the other day. I've never said it's my favourite... (but it is) I was MAJORLY into it right from Red/Blue.
@matt It makes it worse when you have sensory stuff and you sometimes need a little bit to process spoken words... that's just deliberately mean to people like me lol

@bobble And you're welcome :) That answer came to me as soon as my head hit the pillow last night! I figured I'd leave it 'til morning and let someone else get it in the meantime - I was amazed it was still open when I switched on in the morning! Always love a good flag puzzle, and that was a good flag puzzle :)

and yeah it seems completely unfair to people who have physical hearing issues, or sensory processing issues, or people who are just having a bad day and didn't quite catch you
My Japanese teacher was a joke (in a good way for us)... he enjoyed rambling, so we could get him to ramble for long enough that there wouldn't be time for a test. We (students) attempted this for every single test after it became obvious how terrible his time management was.
My teachers have a lot of different non-timed ways to take attendance - type "here" in chat, fill out a form linked at the start & end of class, answer a question in Google Classroom, etc.

Just compose a very nice, professional email and explain that sometimes you need more time to think when called on, but that you are listening and trying your best
I don't like to invoke ADA stuff in situations like this because I don't like stonewalling people with that, but in this case I might say in the email, "due to my [relevant thing here], I sometimes struggle to parse things quickly and it may take me a little extra time to respond when you ask me questions. I am happy to work with you to accomodate this if it becomes an issue."
