Q: Pentagon with sides, diagonals and area that are distinct integers

Dmitry KamenetskyCan you find a convex pentagon (5 sides) such that all its sides, diagonals and area are distinct integers? Note that a polygon is convex if all its internal angles are smaller than 180 degrees. A similar question about quadrilaterals is here: Quadrilateral with sides, diagonals and area that ar...

Q: Thirteen Minesweeper mines that make seven 5s

Dmitry KamenetskyCan you place thirteen mines on a Minesweeper grid such that they create seven 5s? The size of the grid can be arbitrary. The mines may create numbers other than 5s, but those are irrelevant. A similar question about 4s is here: Twelve Minesweeper mines that make twelve 4s Good luck!

Q: Can multiple wall timers turn lights on or off when required?

waferthinImagine we have some simple mechanical 24 hour wall timers like this: https://cdn.aws.toolstation.com/images/141020-UK/800/65719.jpg There’s one restriction though, they’re badly designed so each one can only turn on once and turn off once in a 24 hour period (but you can set the times of each)...

Q: Create a Magic square with 4-digit number in each 3x3 matrix

Sayed Mohd AliExample: 4567 4567 4567 4567 4567 4567 4567 4567 4567 Above is a 3*3 matrix each having the same number. You need to replace the 4567 with 9 different digit number to create a perfect magic square. Remember that the numbers together must contain nine of each figure 1, 2,...

Shhh, don't mention her in front of Deus.

XD @Deusovi

I hear it wasn't a great breakup. A rushed ending. Nothing really leading up to it, just out of nowhere.

Fun fact: @Deus ovi means "Oh God" in Portuguese @Rand

And if you then reverse it in English it is "Dog ho!" @Rubio

@OmegaKrypton It also means the God of Sheep, I think.

rly?

Hey lets bully Deusovi with a sheep puzzle

Sep 10 '16 at 21:30, by Gareth McCaughan
@Rand, (1) surely Deusovi is pronounced exactly as you say and is Latin for "god of sheep"; (2) 2000/7 ~= 285 so 1000-2000/7 ~= 715; what am I missing?

ooh
@Adam not bully, it's playful banter...

(well yeah)

But apparently Rubio is also a sheep:

@Rubio You're a sheep? I thought you were a dog or something.
HELP US! WE'RE BEING RULED BY SHEEP!

Wait... Rubio = Deusovi or Deusovi rules Rubio?
...but dogs herd sheep on farms?!?!?!!?!

he'd only be quieter when walking...

Q: Circle divided with lines between blue dots

CuriousSuperheroWhat is the solution for this IQ test question?

3:09 PM
@Randal'Thor it does not mean that (both because that is not the intended interpretation, and because it wouldn't work grammatically)

The "god of sheep" remark wasn't terribly serious. I think "ovi" would be ablative not genitive.

(though i cannot confirm or deny any sort of sheep-related conspiracy among the moderators)

a sheepish confession
