@Sid Bleh. There were six sub-puzzles plus the meta. You said "please don't post partial answers unless you've solved at least three of the sub-puzzles". I had correct answers to all six sub-puzzles, correct solutions to four of them (apparently you intended something different for the first but that's not my fault, and now that I know the correct answer to the clue in #5 I didn't have I think it's unsound because the definition isn't correct), and the final answer including [...]
... the extra-credit bit. I would have kept at it for longer before posting with only that much, but I had other stuff that needed to be done urgently. I do feel pretty stupid for not getting the second sub-puzzle since a moment's non-stupid googling would have turned it up. I'm not convinced the final sub-puzzle's clues are solvable without back-solving (not your fault; it's the nature of PD clues). So, I dunno, I don't think "skimmed" is fair.
Sorry if I sound grumpy. The weather is not helping my mood at the moment :-).
(In case it isn't clear, the distinction I'm making between "correct answers" and "correct solutions" is that the former means saying correctly what the answer is and the latter means knowing and explaining why as well.)
