why fewer
actually maybe not… but anyway my thinking was that to make a 12x12 out of 6x6s you'd need all the 6x6s' clues plus a few more to connect the grids together.
(but that's not really how it works… you would use longer words in the 12x12 than the 6x6s)

yeah my thinking was that four 6x6s have the same number of cells but shorter average answer size, therefore more clues
