Q: How to create a 5 x 5 word grid?

quilkinI'm trying to design a new game that requires a 5 x 5 grid of criss-crossed words (like squareword has). I have a word list of about 4600 5-letter words; I think that there are more than 2 x 10^18 ways of choosing 5 words from this list. I have written a brute-force computer program which just c...

Q: Is there seven consecutive annual dates which result in Monday-Sunday?

rybo111Choose a date that's a Monday, e.g. 1st Jan 2024. Then keep adding 1 year until you have seven dates in a row that are the days of the week in order (Monday to Sunday). Does such a date combination exist?

11:32 AM
@VeryStaleAndDeadAccount i was thinking the other way around but yeah that's it

Oh yeah messed up the order oops

@VeryStaleAndDeadAccount Ah, that's ERI (left/leftward "ire" or anger) inside GONG (metal disc) making the last name of Hermann GOERING, a Nazi leader

@oAlt Yep you got it

I got distracted by the theory that disc/metal disc = RING
Anyway oh no I have to make a clue again

Q: Detecting Connected Components on an Infinite Graph after Modification

Tim CThis puzzle was inspired by thinking about how to implement a system like Factorio's power grid. Start with an infinite connected undirected acyclic graph. Graph = A set of nodes (called "vertices") with connections (called "edges") between them. Alternatively: A set of power poles connected by...
