@PrinceNorthLæraðr I don't think it's too much of an issue to have two mods in the same time zone, as long as the whole team has some geographical spread.
This puzzle is another Nurikabe, but with a new twist for me: it's a gigantic Super-Kabe! It's also, in my opinion, quite tricky and has some interesting deductions. I hope you enjoy!
Rules of a Nurikabe (copied from my previous puzzle):
This is a Nurikabe puzzle. The goal is to paint some cells...
@Sid Since we know Gray is on the right track with a tdef, here's a guess: NAILED, NAILED a goal, NAILED the interview (and possibly a builder job), settled is a synonym to NAILED
Or possibly SEALED, cuz SEALED the goal, SEALED the deal, SEALED is also a synonym to settled
Or RACKED, 'cause RACKED up a goal, RACKED up a profit, and RACKED is once again, a synonym to settled
I don't really want to discuss it except to say that it's over now, it was very stressful, and I hope a similar thing does not happen to me (or for that matter poor bobble, north, msh and mith) again.
i don't know why but by mentioning how long you've been here, you've suddenly got me on a kick of reading the transcripts of my first week of Sphinx messages and laughing at how much we goofed around
CCCC: "Hearken there, oh spell! I seek relocation. Help me escape hell, come home to kin unharmed!" (5'1, 2, 5, 4, 4. 5'1, 2, 5, 4, 4. 5'1, 2, 5, 4, 4.)
@msh210 I've also tried it - on multiple occasions - and couldn't get more than a handful each time... I'm guessing there are some pretty obscure words at play here, and it's very difficult to pin all of them down together...!
@JeremyDover I don't mind at all. I would imagine you might mind, though, that others build on the work you did, while you still maintain hope of finishing it yourself.
I've got to get moving, so I posted my partial as an answer. If anyone wants to run with it, feel free to use anything in my post, and either edit or create your own post freely.

Other puzzles in this series
Welcome to the ninth puzzle in this series! For more information about the series, see the first puzzle and the introduction. Enjoy!
This might not technically count as a 'sudoku', but some of the rules ar...
@BeastlyGerbil I was so sure someone was going to snipe me on that one. Also I really shouldn't have done it, today was supposed to be hunkering down and completing a school project. Ah well.
I am attempting to make my entry Very Hard, seeing as I have only one shot... hopefully it works! I may have to make some compromises as I approach the finish.
Made my first ever (wacky) sudoku. Should I ask someone to test-solve it or just let it free? :) (I did verify that it does have a unique solution, just not sure how enjoyable it is)
@Bobble and Lukas, as I know you both had solved the suguru, thoughts on the puzzle in general? If it was an enjoyable grid puzzle I'll consider making a much larger, maybe even wackier one in the future
I phrased "wasn't already in an FTC" terribly. What I mean by that: In the case that the suggestion for a previous FTC topic is not yet deleted, the bot ignores it. Otherwise we could get the same FTC topic 2x consecutively if no one deletes it
@BeastlyGerbil I did the suguru as well. I liked it, but there wasn't much in the way of deduction. I'd love to see another one more challenging one! (Not to criticize the current one per se.)
@JeremyDover I agree this one wasn't definitely easy, although I don't know how difficult you can make a plain one. Introducing some different mechanics would definitely be interesting!
And the next one tomorrow is in my opinion the hardest out of the 14, so thatll make up for it :P

A Sudoku with an oddly familiar shape. Here's a Penpa Link.
Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply
(Special) Thermometers:
The digits in the thermometer shapes must be strictly increasing in each cell from the round bulb to the flat end...
@ThePuzzlingPlatypus Three suggestions. (a) Ask the person in charge of the game ("dungeon master", "DM"). When I started playing it, I didn't know how either, and one of the things I did (and do) is ask my DM, who very patiently explains things. (b) Read the fine manual. Always a good idea when starting any game. (c) Don't ask here. People here are still irritated at your asking other, related questions, and probably would rather not hear from you on this topic at all right now.
The best option, of course, is to read the entire manual and ask questions if you are confused, but please do not do it here. This is meant for puzzling.
It's done, and I'm just writing up the question right now, actually
Making a small example solve of how the crossword works
@ThePuzzlingPlatypus (shrug) It's not too bad. You can skip all the class, race, and background once you've picked your character and understand how your specific class, race, and background works
If you want, when you post I can have a play around and see if anything looks alright, and if I find smth I can edit, and if its not quite what you want you can always rollback?
@JeremyDover another really impressive answer to a grid-based question :P
Do you take notes as you go? I always start writing up the answer and have forgotten a lot of the logic, but all your logic is always explained flawlessly
I'm glad people are enjoying the FTC so far, I was worried about halfway through that there wouldn't be anyone else posting any! :P
Ooooh thats interesting and makes a lot of sense, I might have to start doing that too. I usually just take random screenshots and hope I can remember, but I've realised that my memory is really not good enough for that
I was halfway through your roman numerals sudoku before I realised I'd made a simple error at the very start, but I'm actually glad I didn't solve it first as I was solving on mobile and my answer would have looked atrocious :P
I have a pretty good memory when it comes to relative placement, which means deductions are simple for me to remember and write down.
That kind of memory can be infuriating... for example, one time during a history test I could remember the exact layout of the page that had a fact I needed, and where on the page that fact was, but not the fact itself. Very non-useful
Even if you didn't get the checkmark, I hope you enjoyed the solve. I tried to get some good deductions in there, but it seems it was more straightforward than I thought.
This is the first Chain Puzzle in the Video Game series, in which all puzzles are themed around video games of all genres. The answer to this puzzle is a thematic word or phrase. The solver whose answer is awarded the green checkmark has the first refusal on the opportunity to create the next pu...
