@EricTressler COXSWAIN - def: pilot, CO(XS)W+AIN* ("IN A" tizzy, after "badger" => COW (verb), eating "very tiny" => extra small => XS)

Wow.
(I was stuck on trying to make something like NAVIGATE work because NAG=badger and V=very. But of course I couldn't get it to.)
It really needs to be "In a in a tizzy", though...

Yeah, I was stuck on NA(V i??)G too... Even after finding the above, it took me a realise how I was going to transform a badger into a cow.

Q: Love, death and sea creatures

jafe A creature of the sea fights crime beneath a city's street. A shepherd has his final meal, a woman's smile is sweet. Two people fall in love, an icy death half of them meet. Two ones, a two, a three, a line that never is complete. Looking for a first name.

There's a Sinead Reen, "the first woman to be elected president of the Irish Institute of Master Mariners". [win]G + REEN = "left party". That is pretty obscure, though; there's not even a Wikipedia page

Q: Should the knowledge tag be merged with the trivia tag?

Brandon_JI ran across a puzzle tagged "trivia" recently. Its descriptor mentioned that it required non-essential knowledge of pop-culture to solve. This seems like a slightly narrower version of the "knowledge" tag, with the only difference being the pop-culture element. I'm unsure that that difference is...
