@MikeQ I was going to share a few more DM thoughts with you about Crabber's Cove, but as I looked at what may lie ahead as you leverage the group's current success (Caught the assassin!) and what you may next do, I realize that I need to keep the kimono closed for the time being.

@V2Blast It's a turn of phrase I learned some years ago about full disclosure versus partial disclosure ... the open kimono implying full disclosure ... I've not bothered to dig into the etymology of the phrase. And no, I don't own a kimono. I prefer terrycloth bath robes...

I bought my wife a silk bathrobe when I was in Hong Kong (about 30 years ago) and she used to like it. But she eventually had it dry cleaned and gave it to our daughter (when Daughter was in college IIRC); not sure what happened, but one day she didn't like the feel of it. The hazards of aging, I guess.

Got back from battle zone ahead of Longship with Seaton's Duke, briefed Eliander, parties at the empty net, met Gerd the wizard who helped the dwarves finish the Umber Hulk Shell armor ahead of schedule (He's living with Ingo), headed down to the empty net and partied like it was 1999.

@V2Blast (Part 2) Went to bed, Velthiss awoken by a little birdie, Assassination attempt on Eliander. You all got to Hoolwatch Tower, guards not sure if they should let you in, you got in. Krag is dead, Eliander was so badly hurt he crawled from the tower to the woods to get Fearin's help due to having been poisoned. He had shoved the assailant out the window. Team investigated, followed the trail, which crossed the river. Ignaz fired off a flare

Tracking continued, lady in the next door house yelled at party for trespassing on her property, someone noticed boots matching the tracks you were following against the back wall of Solmor house. Velthiss turned into Mastiff, sniffy sniffy, found new trail leading to dock. Got to dock to find the irate boat owner bellowing about how someone stole his rowboat. Session ended as the decision to give up the chase, or, to try the aerial search was posed. Velthiss ...

... having turned into horse and dog already needed that hour break to regen wild shape, which is where we picked up last night. (Velthiss could have summoned two giant eagles last time and flown around on the backs of them, for aerial recon, or asked them to perform a search, but for own reasons chose not to do that. As it worked out, his recon last night was successful, and off you all went ...

@V2Blast Krag, who is he? He's the guy who assists Welgar at the temple to Procan tending the cemetery. He usually stays at Hoolwatch tower; he's a close associate of Eliander from back in their days serving in the King's army. (Basically, he was Eliander's Orderly/Shield bearer equivalent who mustered out before Eliander did. He's been living in Saltmarsh a couple of years longer than Eliander).

@V2Blast He's also the only other half-orc that you know about in Saltmarsh besides Bron.
