I wonder...
@AncientSwordRage Relative of yours?
(just joking, but I was watching some videos of this games and your avatar came to mind)

@SPArcheon We don't talk of Steve (AKA TaintedStoat) in the family...

lol
I watched a full playthrough of that
also he's definitely a bit of a jerk

@trogdor well, it is not like the player is a saint.

well no for sure but like
sniping the guy who's playing the game that determines everyone involved fate and constantly saying stuff like "huge misplay" and second guessing literally everything they do is kinda big jerk energy
really it seems like almost none of the characters in the game are actually all that nice
though some are obviously much worse than others

@trogdor to be fair from the little I saw it also seem the only one that at least tries to give some suggestions.
Like prospector's mule

12:00 PM
he does give occasional actual advice
but more often than not it's toxic backseating for no reason
like, really he says "bad missplay" sometimes even if what you are doing is definitely not some kind of missplay
I'm guessing he says it randomly when you put him on the board
also there's stuff you probably haven't seen that definitely doesn't paint him in any better light
he's a definite jerk
maaybe not as bad as one or two or possibly three other characters but after that he's the worst XD

12:41 PM
@trogdor of what sorry?

@trogdor Saw something now, and from what I see the game is also too much built around things that you can only do on pc... So I guess console release is impossible. So, since I basically play only on console, I think I will just watch the rest for fun, no need to "wait for the chance to play it"

Inscryption is a 2021 horror deck-building video game developed by Daniel Mullins Games and published by Devolver Digital. The game is set in a cabin where the player tries to escape by beating a demonic force in a card game. Inscryption was released for Microsoft Windows on October 19, 2021. == Plot == A YouTuber, Luke Carder, films himself opening booster packs of collectible card games (shown as found footage throughout Inscryption). After obtaining sets from Inscryption, a card game that was only printed once, he finds one of the cards has a set of coordinates written on it, located nearby...
thats one? (I can't youtube at work)

@AncientSwordRage yep.
And apparently it is the same guy that made Pony Island, so I expect that the game facade starts to fall and devolve in meta gaming the further you get in.

It's more than that
The entire game itself changes and eventually its basically just a story with a facade of gameplay that doesn't actually effect anything
As far as I can tell at least
It like it to me at least at the ending
Looked*
It does have card gameplay that matters to be fair
There are at least three acts you have to complete by winning to progress
But it at least seemed like ending, despite having card gameplay still, doesn't actually matter in terms of what plays you make anymore
