@Carcer fair enough either way, I just know from observation across at least 4 or so people playing it that it seems to do that a lot, and doesn't even exclude the name of the character you are currently playing as
if people refer to their character in the third person it immediately starts to forget who they are talking about and seems to make a second character or something
I stopped playing Isaac for several reasons, one of which was indeed not understanding fully what Edmunds idea of how the game should work even was
it's not that I believe you should play every game the way the person/people who made it intended and no other way, but knowing how they intended it to be played helps you understand what's possible to do in it
I played enough to beat Mom's Heart 10 times and unlock even more final bosses and then faught Isaac and won that way a few times but at that point I didn't know if there was any intended stopping point in the game
and while that doesn't stop me from continuing to play other games more,... Isaac is also kinda gross visually and a little weird and esoteric mechanically
