Don't take me wrong, but I got that weird idea that the game must be cheating on the math in order to be able to perform fast enough, but the formula used are discrete

So basically, the felling I get is that it use some functions to simulate progression in a range , and a visual multiplier to "visualize" the range you are currently in.
