I think being unspeakably ancient and weary was one of the greatest strengths Matt Smith brought to the role, and it made me sad they didn't give him many opportunities to use it.
(Also, I think that age makeup was really unnecessary at the end.)
@BESW I liked the film. I hadn't read any of the comics, so that probably helped. I've read one since, and it wasn't really my thing. (Same with V for Vendetta, actually)
... and thanks to Telkitty on the Tavern chat room, we have ruled out that from now on the word pony shall be used only to refer to the candy colored variant. The lame, realistic version shall therefore be renamed to "dachshorse"
how did "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" become the typical sentence that contains all letters of the alphabet and not "sphinx of black quartz, judge my vow" which is objectively a million times cooler
