@V2Blast yeah, hoco is homecoming
In general, I’m fine. I didn’t plan on asking her out, but if she had said she was going, I might have Seriously Agonized about it. I’m disappointed but not that badly (my big disappointment is that my class lost the powderpuff girls intramural football tournament big-time, courtesy of a stunning upset from the ickle freshies)

3 hours later…
9:16 AM
oh for a second I didn't even see
the pony version
XD

9:27 AM
Standard singer posture. ^_^

I mean I feel like it definitely is standard singing posture at least in like, animations and stuff
especially specifically the Hatsune Miku singer Archetype, IE not the vocoloid thing specifically but the solo girl singer (IE no other band usually just a single pop idol or wtv)

9:53 AM
@trogdor ANY pose is better than the pose they had for the music box.

murder your feet with this great new pose

10:15 AM
@SPArcheon Uh, this one doesn't seem too wrong compared to all sorts of ways art gets posturing wrong. Is my lack of knowing ballet nuances too drastic and am I thus overlooking some glaring mistake?

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica You should know by now that I am not really fond of gratuitous fanservice.
"Magical skirt that stands up like it is made of plastic" + rotating ballerina music box.

Uhhh . . . this doesn't seem in any way abnormal for how ballet outfits behave, judging by a quick search.

true.
but the average ballerina music box usually does not stand on that pose.
so, call me over nitpicking there but that one seems to be made that way for a specific reason - fanservice.

I do think it's nitpicking, because at a glance, some percentage of music boxes do seem to have similar postures, which in turn are taken from typical ballets.
It might not be the average, but a lot of topics have variation that doesn't all neatly fall into a single average.
Don't get me wrong, I too at times smirk and/or comment at maille tank tops and other changes made to clothing/&c. into order to gimmickify them. But I think this isn't one of them.

Took some time to actually identify the module since at this point it may be worth the effort.

@SPArcheon Module?

Vocaloid jargon sorry, the specific clothes sets are often called "Module"
anyway...
That specific appearance is Miku Symphony 5th from the concert event with the same name.
It is an orchestra concert, so no hologram live appearance in this case, but the design still has reference material.
These are official concept art
notice the Crypton Future Media mark.
This was turned into a nendroid.
then GoodSmile made this one.
I do firmly believe that this is done on purpose there, since GoodSmile is quite known for fanservice oriented figures.
