lol

12:29 PM
And for the random question of the day....
@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica Why is the watercress a temporary plant in the first place?

@Derpy Don't know. To warrant activity, I guess.

@Derpy <3
WIZZARD

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica activity like putting a weight on the "W" key?

@Derpy Ctrl-clicking parts of the field periodically.

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica no, I actually meant it. Press W.

12:34 PM
@Derpy Field is full. What does it do?

Refresh every watercress on the field, and replants the "dead" ones
so it isn't even "Ctrl-clicking parts of the field periodically."
it is "pressing w periodically until they become obsolete very quickly"

Yeah I'm not getting it.

anyway, I realized that you have to upgrade the fruits.
by sacrificing other fruits.
and the mechanics seems very "gatcha" like. Random fruits, keep the best one and then sacrifice the others.
Hoping to non waste investment on a fruit you will replace soon with a better one.

@Derpy All essence can be applied to all fruits, so that's not a risk.

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica you spend essence on a single fruit.

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica I see what you mean... but either that means that the essence is a shared pool that you can spend on every fruit but is consumed on the specific fruit you spend it on.....
Or it does not make sense AT ALL.

You can upgrade each given fruit up to N worth of upgrades, with N being equal to your essence.

If the essence is indeed multiplied on every fruit, then there is no reason to not spend the max available points on every fruit.

@Derpy Indeed, you should always spend as much essence on each of the fruits you ever use.

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica if that is the case, it makes no sense since there is no reason at all to stop at n-1, enche the button is only a time waster.
just auto-upgrade them.

12:49 PM
@Derpy But does the auto-upgrader know which of the upgrades you want for a given fruit?

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica Oh, I see now.... the Fruit help page has a passage I didn't notice.
but... weird... is it the same page that you get when you get the first fruit? I don't remember that passage AT ALL

The posted piece is a tooltip.

> All fruit essence is available for all fruits, leveling up an ability in one fruit does not consume any fruit essence for other fruits. Example: if you have 50 fruit essence and 3 fruits, then you can use 50 essence in fruit 1, you can also use 50 essence in fruit 2, and you can also use 50 essence in fruit 3, and in any future fruits as well. If you now sacrifice a fruit that gives 10 essence, you have 10 more essence available for all the others.

Leveling up abilities permanently affects this fruit, you cannot undo it. This only matters if this fruit has more than one ability so that y
^ was talking about this one.

1 hour later…
2:23 PM
The time has cometh at last.
> @vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica The planets art alligned, the seals forswear broken.

Wend f'rth, mine own loyal subject. Findeth me a marchpane col'r'd pony them'd incremental game

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica 404 not found.

@Derpy Apparently have to go forward to the archived version.

that's cheating :P.

2:31 PM
@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica I had purposely checked beforehand that the old pony clicker was now 404 so that you would have to find me a new one.

2:54 PM
I may need a hand fleshing out the edges of this question, because the answer was not what I expected:
3
Q: What's the largest space ship that couldn't support its own weight?

PureferretIn my story I have a space ship large enough to be city when it lands on the world the story is set on. However I want a point of tension to be that this new city-ship was never designed to land or support its own weight and is slowly collapsing under its own weight. What is the largest space shi...

Any idea on what else I may need to specify? I have some, but I have a meeting in 5 minutes and I don't think I can get them all down in time

Top answer seems about right already: it depends on likely safety margins of the construction more than on available materials (assuming industrial civilisation or later).

3:44 PM
......
this I didn't expect.

4:34 PM
Notice the irony. Someone in the room could actually recognize the scene, but I doubt someone will get the reference.
And if I had this posted in a room where the reference would be clear, then probably no one would have watched the episode.
@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica growth speed apple. As useless as it looks.

@Derpy '...A sacrifice... Who do we sacrifice?'

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica an apple will be sacrificed.... in about 6 hours. Until then "better luck next time, no bonus for you"

@Derpy whats the equation?

@AncientSwordRage Uru +Se + I = Ya + Ts + Ur + A

urusei yatsura?

4:52 PM
do you recognize this face?

5:03 PM
@AncientSwordRage If you don't recognize that name or the face above... it is probably better if you just ignore this reference

@Derpy hah, I watched this episode just a couple of weeks ago

@kviiri And I sincerely doubt you noticed the reference :P

@Derpy Didn't notice it. I'm not very into Japanese culture

@kviiri oh, it is also quite old.
And sadly, the current generation actually believes it was similar to a newer anime I shall not name. It was not.

Yeah, that compounds a lot. I mostly know stuff that's either very mainstream popular in the West, sufficiently liked by one of my manga-gorging friends, or memetically bad for whatever reason (looking at you, Twinkle Nora Rock Me)

5:21 PM
@kviiri Well, she was popular enough to get a statue at the Oizumi anime gate train station.

@Derpy no
but I do recognise it as a face
does that count towards anything?

@AncientSwordRage well, we could publish a thesis on how ferrets recognize faces....

@Derpy please do

@AncientSwordRage gotcha!

@Derpy need more Rrrrss

4 hours later…
9:38 PM
Lol
@Derpy oh I think I might vaguely remember this
