@Derpy Last couple of sessions the party is engaging in a first contact situation. For technical reasons, the party is using a different ship than usual one (which it named Messenger), and there's been no name given for the new ship. Last Sunday two party members seem to have decided to call her Friend Ship. AFAIK only one of the players is a fan of FiM, and this player is not one of the two who proposed/picked up the new name.

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica I hope that they aren't fan of Paranoia either... or the ship may start to behave in unexpected ways.

@Derpy There's a bunch of reasons why none of those ideas can work in the setting/situation, but the parallel is still amusing. Also, if you ever want an interesting-but-flawed experimental game that has Paranoia in Space elements, there's Event[0].

@Derpy Space Worms make me think of Master of Orion 2 (with its bunch of other space monsters, like eels).

Giant Sand Worms were in the original per-release trailer for the game but were never included in the final product. Players have been asking for those for the last 4 years.

so, basically, the whole player base is officially in meme/conspiracy mode right now.
