It's the name of a beach, but it also means someone who is outgoing, confident, takes risks, puts themselves out there.

In Finnish, it means shallow (when discussing bodies of water, not people). Or "low"

I always feel out of place in libraries. But this probably has most to do with the very little time I've spent in libraries in my life.

I went to one or another of the half-dozen libraries around the island at least once a month for most of my childhood.

And later, when I was taking business college, the best library of Helsinki was right next to it. That's where I found most of my current favorite authors
