I have not seen the comment/s in question, but I don't have a hard time agreeing that there was likely an unintended misunderstanding regarding something said in it
we have had a lot of that kind of thing, though that doesn't mean it is automatically the case here, just that I find that it is quite possible that it happened

@Pixie I'm confused. Are you responding to something else? What poor behaviour do you mean, and when did I excuse it?

@SevenSidedDie I was responding to you, yes. There is a difference between pointing out details someone appears to have missed and suggesting that they didn't read what they are engaging with. In the former case, I would apologize for missing the thing. In the latter case, I might do the same, but I'd also seriously doubt how much respect someone has for me if they're not even willing to accept that I read the material. It's definitely not good faith.
It's a much more accusatory way of going about it -- it puts people on the defensive, particularly those who did read and accidentally missed the detail in question.
So while I can understand the circumstances in which it happened, I don't think it's any more of a reasonable thing to suggest because you're being yelled at. In some cases, if you really think that's what happened, go for it... but understand that it has quite a bit of potential to escalate the situation because it really doesn't give the other person much credit.
And escalation is really not what we want here.

if someone seems to have missed something like that, I can see how it would be frustrating to then have them blame you for it. It doesn't mean you should automatically assume they didn't read anything, but I can see how the mistake could be made, even if you were trying to delicately point out that they seem to have missed something
but again, I didn't actually see any of what is being referred to

@Pixie I think I gave the wrong impression when I said "being yelled at"; I did not mean that I was angry and felt justified by it. I meant that someone was quite forcefully expressing their dismay that I hadn't done something (though I had, and in very nearly the same words they demanded I add). It was quite obvious that they were operating based on only a partial read.
But that does highlight why I think my only honest option right here is stepping away from this criticism now: a very specific criticism based on second-hand reports is only tenuously meaningful to the actual events and words, so there's little I can do with it. Perhaps save this for when I've done something that can be criticised first-hand, so that we can be on the same initial page and have any chance of agreeing on what went wrong and why.

today I learned stuff about Cardassians XD
I didn't see too many of the episodes centered around them
instead I caught a lot of random stuff and the Borg

This year, Idris Elba provides the voice for a panther, a water buffalo, and a sea lion.

Q: Are there rules for determining the hp, THAC0, and saves of frost giant shamans?

YoraThe 2nd edition Monster Manual says that frost giants can be shamans up to 7th level. How are these levels added to the normal stats of a frost giant? Are there any rules for that, or is it left to the interpretation of the GM?

Q: Can the Impervious Power Modifier be linked to unhenanced, natural Toughness?

Aldath Le'CardeI'm building a new character whose powers come from a "cyber skin implant" that is pretty natural to her since it's now part of her body, giving her 12 Stamina without Enhanced Trait. Her cyber skin also makes her highly resistant, and being PL 11 I don't want to invest more into Protection or D...
