My Uncle is sorta in that boat hes doing a lot of development for cutting edge apps and OSs on phones right now. Hes managed to find the like 3 people who are experts in this specific area and sorta has a rapport with them.
I guess a better meta questions would be what guidelines exist for diamond mod behavior vs. a user with high rep behavior, should diamond mods be held to a higher standard as officials of the site
@JoshuaAslanSmith this is high end corporate stuff that should have a huge amount of resources behind it, but for some reason there isn't a lot of freely available info on the web. We're supposed to go through some training whenever contracts get signed so that will be good
I'm thinking I'm going to extensively document our process and may anonoymize and blog it.

I've been trying to figure out how to phrase my concerns about mxy being the one who talks on meta for the mods in a way that's as inoffensive as possible, and I've yet to find a good way
Right its like, okay a personal crusade against Mxy would be wrong/wouldnt work, but he does become defacto spokesperson for the diamond mods and the site at large and I think that is the issue given his abrasiveness
Ive had 1 or 2 rough run ins with brian when I first joined but things worked out a lot smoother and Ive never had any issue with c.ross
for example I know I would not make a good spokesperson/frontman because I like to fight/debate and get caught up in it at a tactical & strategic level. I make things personal at times when it shouldnt.
@waxeagle so basically, how do we express that we feel mxy's personality bleeding through into his moderation is a negative and we'd rather be talking to someone else (even if we add no new diamond mods) who has a better track record within the community.
