Is there actually some distinction between and on Physics Meta?
@rob I've noticed that you were among users who approved my suggested edits on the tag-wikis. So I assume they were not completely off.
Still, as you can see above, I've edited the first one before realizing that this meta has a separate tag for (tex) and separate tag for (mathjax).
I am not sure whether this is indeed intentional - but I guess that local mods are likely to know what is the intended meaning of the two tags, whether they are supposed to be synonyms and whether the tag-info for (tex) needs to be corrected.
When I wrote the tag-info for tex I thought that this is the tag used on this meta for questions about MathJax. Sorry if I caused a bit of a mess by doing that.

@MartinSleziak Hmmm. I didn't notice that distinction when I approved the edits. It's probably the case that those tags should be synonyms --- Physics Meta isn't a good place for questions about TeX apart from MathJax.

If no, they probably should be synonymized. (For example, on Mathematics Meta (tex) and (latex) are synonyms of (mathjax) (which is the master tag).

Yeah, I think they should be synonyms, too

Well, they are synonyms on the meta site I am most familiar with (Mathematics Meta). Only after seeing Chris' comment I found out that they are two separate tags: "tex and mathjax are different tags. This could work for the mathjax tag."
Anyway, I just wanted to make sure that some of the local mods know about this - and since you were among users who reviewed the suggested edits, it seemed reasonable to ask you. (This seemed to me too minor think to make a post about that on meta.)
*thing (sorry for the typo)
