I am not sure whether to which extent this room might be useful, but if you want to experiment with MathJax with result being available somewhere, feel free to use this room.
(If your prefer to have it here rather than in formatting sandbox, where such things would be more visible.)
To use LaTeX in chat, you can use these bookmarks.

In connection with this question from meta:

I want to make something like this with MathJax: 1 2 4 + 5 3 ------ 1 7 7 How would I go about doing so? I searched on the TeX website, but people only gave answers with stuff like ${\$\$}$\begin{tabular}{cccc}$$, which only works for LaTeX, and not MathJax. Is there a way to render the above e... @JChau So this is not what you are looking for?$$\begin{array}{ccc} 1 & 2 & 4 \\ + & 5 & 3 \\ \hline \\ 1 & 7 & 7\end{array}
I'll add MathB.In link, just in case you do not have installed bookmarklet to render MathJax in chat: mathb.in/14618
BTW this was posted as an answer to your question, which was then deleted.
I would point out that if use {ccc} then no vertical separators are in the table. To get the vertical separators, you have to write {|c|c|c|}.
