I basically lived the quest with Sayu trying to buy the Raiden figure for Sara and discovering a bastard at the shop who scalped the items BEFORE they went on sale...

everything else matches basically.

N items on sale, sale starts and half the items are already nowhere to be found, magically gone in the pocket of some thief working at the shop.

ah lol I missed it

and yeah I would not put it past them to do something weird like add a random VR mode.
