@SteveTaylor @curiousdannii Here's another question about the book of Revelation that I'm not sure how to handle, although it's more obviously opinion based. But I'm not sure how to phrase a constructive comment to the user. Should I create a meta question about specific policies about the book of Revelation, or about future prophetic fulfillment in general, that we can point users to?

@GratefulDisciple - the user is porting a lot of contemporary info into that question, so to bring it on topic they'd have to remove most of that info and just anchor it on the text instead. Either close and coach them on how to fix it, or propose an edit to bring it on-topic and suggest they could throw the rest of the info into an Answer to their own question
Contemporary applications are off-topic, and questions have to be about the text itself they're asking about - hence the second close reason
As a user there's nothing stopping you Voting to Close whilst coaching the user to fix it. If it gets to the third or fourth close vote and the problem has been fixed, then it'll probably avoid closure anyway.

@SteveTaylor Thank you for the general guidance, very much flowing from the purpose of the site.
