@Hennes most hardware purchases get mentioned on SERA or RA on matrix mainly cause I always forget when I do these things :D

Zotak seems to be very nice for small cases and HTCs

their bigger cards go nuts on fans

drives in NAS are faster that 1G bit

I jus got a really wierd set of requirements

I got a pair of mellanax X2's (10Gbit, PCIe-2 V2 (!) x 8

and I'd go for a aquarian (sp?) based card for a mixed build

2024 spec might include a passive colled switch with both 10Gbit standard

I'm almost all standard on ubuntu and windows

so a NAS will be a ubuntu + ZFS build

Problem is cases. THe 'best' option I can find is 6 bays

twice the recommended dose of anti hayfever helps. Buy I cleaned yesyerda which meant that I slept well. So I uess the docs are half wong

I've got 2 chinese industrial PCs, 2 NUCs, and 2 full size PCs ._.

My farm is unplugged (trio of dell R300's)

One desktop iunplugged (i5-6600)

I can't afford real servers, nor do I need it :D

desktop gets lots of use

Only thing I am using is the desktop (AMD 5800x) and the laptop (I9-9900)

and the old desktop (i7 3700) is being used to test :D
