I guess this is my first time interacting with you outside of Tavern
There's regulars there, but they're all real SE users too. Not just Tavern/Meta users. However the only one I see regularly on other SE sites, is I think Glorfindel.
Do you happen to know much about RAID disks?

Raid is not a backup
Raid saves you when a certain number of disks dies
not from say, randomware or someone going "rm -rf /important_dir/* when he meant *.log.1
so with ENOUGH disks....
you won't have any data loss with up to 2 dead disks - assuming a third dosen't die when you're rebuilding the array (why wait that long?)
but it won't save you from something that's done system level
