10:15 AM
@JourneymanGeek that just remoinded me to check on my ripe probe ... which seems to have been down since late November last year :( online again now
And yep a WireGuard VPN is the way to go for that kind of stuff. My experience with WG is that it just works
10:33 AM
@user9517 yeah, but my to do list is... a bit shit :D
@user9517 software or hardware?
I was actually considering a hardware one for a bit bit thank's to the 'rona, its always been "we'll have it back in stock soon"
also I have a shitload of credits since I'm really (ab)using this as a uptime/reliability monitor more than anything else
10:46 AM
Mine is HW been running it since 2012 and it is largely just forgotten about. I have 150M credits as I never use them
0_0
same bit of hardware?
that's impressive :D
hmm seems like atlas.ripe.net just died
o0
looks like it
10:53 AM
hopefully it wasn't the shock of my probe coming back online
How goes the move ?
What's happening in SE land - I see more community bureaucracy is coming and no doubt fewer CMs on the back of it
they started firing more CMs and want to push the work over to the community
but without actually being dedicated to clearing tech debt, and following through on stuff the community needs, its kinda pointless
So, basically part of the cycle we seem stuck in
Oh and I just saw ... Google ... oh well
I actually had to log in today - (IDK why I was logged out) and I'm begining to with I hadn't.
I'm going to quit working soon - that may be the impetus to randomise by email address, password and press the delete account(s) button then go horseback riding
11:10 AM
again? :D
Move is on hold, got dragged along to my parents medical checkups in india (the specialist they have there is cheaper/better/more convinient) and other stuff
The quit working ? I've not done that before
back to regular programming next week
oh the randomising the password thing :D
Oh yeah - I undid that - was a real pain in the behind but I couldn't let Michael go without comment.
