i hate illustrator so much

so i set the paintbrush tool, say by default the stroke width is 1, i set it to 5, then i paint the first stroke, but first it goes back to 1

of course i can change it later, but that's not the point

@Wolff Oh not at all. Actually my printer had suggested we give it a shot and we got two proofs to check the differences

@PieBie, just noticed a question I once answered on the "Active" list. It says it's been "modified" by a new user, but I can't see any changes. Do you know why?

@Wes I don't get it either. Think it's similar to the opacity problem with brushes. The size is relative to the size of that particular brush. Different types of brushes has slightly different logic. But I can't really understand it enough to work without annoyance. :)

I don't use the brush in illustrator hardly ever, but IIRC when I do - first I try and set up a few quick custom brushes that are close to what I think I need.

@Wolff looks like an ages old bug in illustrator

with some fiddling it goes away, like i need to focus another layer and pick another tool, then go back to the brush

i should upgrade illustrator

it was nice back in the day, when you could actually own software

Affinity Designer can be owned, right? I've never tried it

@Emilie i think people still crack it like nothing has changed. it's just become more annoying for people that use it professionally
