@Jamiec what C++ book do you recommend to make me an expert? Same question for C#...
10:38
@Cloud Usually books don't make anyone an expert. They get you started, but expertise comes with experience.
10:59
@Federico I see what you mean. Basically, I have learnt the 'fundamentals' of both languages, but I don't really know what to do next... what can I build / make?
anything non-trivial

Such as?
11:46
what do you want to make? it'll only work if you're interested in the project
also, what has this to do with aviation?
(and why ping Jamiec)

Because JamieC is a C++ developer and I cannot post on SO anymore...
@DanHulme Games really, but how much can I learn with GUIs like Unity and Unreal about programming...
16:44
Note I am not, and have never been, a C++ developer @Cloud I have no idea where you got that idea :). If I'm anything its a C# developer - but these days I'm a middle manager. I wish I got to still code for a living
And this chat room is really not the place to discuss it. Sorry.

hi @Glorfindel - thanks for the changes, just a heads-up please, if you check here, aviation.stackexchange.com/posts/23412/revisions, you'll find the script dropped an extra ] as part of the URL, making it a broken link
thanks - actually I noticed that the original revision had those unnecessary brackets, but I botched it up while trying to repair it manually :)
ah right! it wasn't the script
was a head-scratcher, I used the side-by-side markdown view, and could not see that extra ]
was trying to reverse-search the image to provide the article and not a hotlink
