I normally hate "everybody is wrong about X" videos but this one is excellent

@AncientSwordRage Everybody's wrong about videos about everyone is wrong about X
I like the host already.
I get the chat with themself at the start is very meta. Oh... there it is. Right on the nose. That's actually pretty nice.
Starts with some nicely explained definitions, and the issues with the definitions.

@AncientSwordRage LegalKimchi does good video.

Right into the power builds and why people find it fun. This is well organized.
Nice reference to Gygax being a dick about adversarial setups without spending any time pointing a finger. And great segue into better gaming.
Goes on to be spot on about making a good game by predicting the expectations and desires of individual players.
Segue into checkov's gun! This channel gets a subscribe. If you see that link above, and read this, just subscribe. Right away. Worth it.

Q: Does the Artificer's Homunculus Servant infusion have any tool proficiencies?

RakidenThe artificer's Infuse Item feature (TCoE, p. 9; E:RftLW, p. 57) grants access to a number of infusion options, one of which is the Homunculus Servant (TCoE, p. 21; E:RftLW, p. 62). I'm just trying to find out whether the Homunculus Servant I create has, for example, tool proficiencies to help me...

@AncientSwordRage excellent video
that said, there is a follow-on, and that's the idea of observability or discoverability -- what things about the game mechanics, the nature of the play environment, and so on manifest in ways our characters can perceive? it's interesting to look at all the hoopla about charopt as a perceived threat to RP in D&D and compare to a game (I use EVE Online as a reference point) which provides far more observability to characters

Recommendations for what to do with a lot of excess parsley? I bought from the campus store to make some spaghetti but they only sold the most humongous bunches.

@bobble Pesto
Walnuts, pesto, garlic, Parmesan cheese, (olive) oil, some salt. Blend to taste.

Alas, the dorm kitchen has no blender

No pestle either, I'm guessing.

As for appliances I'm working with an oven, stove, microwave, kettle, air fryer, and we have standard pots, pans, knives, cutting boards.

Do you have a flat-bottomed bowl or deep plate?

3:39 AM
Oh and rice cooker and toaster but they're very finicky
There are some bowls with small (4cm across) flat bottoms
They're all sturdy plastic, the non-plastic bowls have negligible flat parts

Okay, secret: Pesto doesn't have to be really finely blended to taste good. You can grind the nuts using something with a flat bottom (like a plastic cup) as a pestle, and the bowl as a mortar. Chop everything else as finely as possible (you may want to also grind the cheese a little if you're not using sprinkle-Parmesan) and mix it all together.
I usually add a bit of pepper and ginger to my pesto, too.
Oh, lemon juice, I forgot that there's lemon juice in the recipe.

hmmm. We have some tiny sturdy sauce cup things for crushers. I'll ask my roomie if I can borrow a glass jar for storage.
What ratios should I be aiming for?

This article claims to have good ratios; I have never measured my pesto so I can't really tell ya, I just add stuff until it looks and tastes right. I can say, it's really easy to add too much nuts or lemon juice, and very hard to add too much cheese (but the cheese and nuts soak up the oil and juice and make it drier, so you gotta put in more oil if you're adding more cheese)
(Also, I like my pesto a lot thicker than many recipes do, because getting it "easily coats all the noodles" thin makes it SO oily.)
But the more oil and lemon, the longer it'll last in storage.

Thanks!

Let me know how it goes!
I also recommend Googling various pesto recipes and getting a sense of what's "normal" and what sounds good to you.
That's how I do most of my cooking: read a half-dozen versions of the recipe and wing it based on those.

I might actually buy a jar at the store and make this a present for my grandma - completely forgot that her birthday was coming up soon, and she loves cooking.

@bobble that's amazing, I'd love to see how it goes
I feel like wringing a better phrased question out of the OP better is not helping anyone, and I'm slightly regretting my tone previously:
Alright then, I'll just simplify the rating criteria, is this subclass, more effective in combat on average compared to something like Way of the Open hand, or way of Peace? I am not concerned about mobility because the only thing Monks don't have better for mobility than other classes is flight which I have granted in a limited capacity. So is this a good combat subclass, better than the currently available ones on average. — Owayn Redvik 6 hours ago

I just got my backer preview of the Pasión de las Pasiones core rulebook!

@BESW is it good?

It looks great. I haven't really read much of it yet, just got it.
But I've enjoyed all the previews and drafts.

I love that PdlP has given a lot of thought to the specific qualities of telenovelas that translate well to TRPGs and why, and which don't, and deliberately focuses its attention accordingly.

Q: In E6, what happens about Hit Points after level 6? Do characters stop gaining HP?

NickCTZAApologies if this is the incorrect way to ask a question or if it was already answered. In E6, what happens about Hit Points after level 6? Do characters stop gaining HP? I'm keen to try E6, and see most of the issues that could crop up have been answered, but: How do characters gain more HP aft...
