Nah, it's cool, it should just go away on its own.
Well, now, anyway.

Q: How would you protect yourself from the Negative Plane?

Rp_MasterI was looking at Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes and noticed for the Nightwalker info that it said "The plane sucks the life and soul from such audacious [living] creatures" and "Those few who survive do so by sheer luck or by harnessing some rare form of magic". What kind of magic would that be? Abj...

Awakening from hibernation to ask if anyone else uses NoScript on Stack Exchange sites, and if so, which domains you usually whitelist for the site.

6:01 AM
I do not, and have not heard of it. What kind of hibernating creature? Bear? Stoat? Snake?

6:32 AM
Math Elemental. Their hibernation patterns are rarely documented. 😛
NoScript is a browser addon that disables a bunch of elements on webpages, mostly Javascript, unless you specifically whitelist the site [and the sites used by the Javascript et.al.].
There's a few websites where I obviously don't want Javascript disabled: SE, Reddit, Twitter, etc., because I actually use those sites and disabling Javascript makes them not work—but any other sites, I'd rather not have those elements active unless I need them.

@BESW doilies!

Mostly because the Mandelbrot-shaped ones are generally agreed to be imaginary? Most of them would have continually increasing hibernation and/or waking times, but I'd think the Fibbonaci ones show up in nature often enough to be studied.

@BardicWizard I'm glad you saw that! For some reason the chat wasn't letting me ping you about it.
Beyond the Rift by Dee Pennyway is now Pay-What-You-Can. A metroidvania-like tabletop game set in a world without memory. (twitter thread about the price change)

Q: How can I increase the proximity damage from Ashardalon's Stride?

Sam LacrumbI'm looking for a way to increase Ashardalon's Stride damage. The difficulty is that it is automatic and not targeted damage, and it affects multiple creatures as you move past them. When you move within 5 feet of a creature or an object that isn’t being worn or carried, it takes 1d6 fire damag...

It's quiet, I wonder if people got put off by the laggy performance earlier?
What's new with people?

@AncientSwordRage A Friday test-drive of the Universalis RPG, with mixed impressions leaning towards disappointment. A (different) Saturday session cancelled because the GM's region got hit by bad weather and the resulting temporary cessation of electrical flow in the wires.

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica I've heard the weather's been really bad in places

@AncientSwordRage There's always somewhere. As far as I understand, the GM is somewhere in the New World.
But that's of course not much of a narrowing down.

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica not really... I've just heard about snow in America perhaps, and the awful tsunami/volcano in/near Tonga recently

@vicky_molokh-unsilenceMonica yeah, reckon they got slammed by the nor'easter that blew thru lately

My brother made the right kind of soup to put 2-5 times too much pepper in, but forgot to put any ginger, garlic or salt in it. I like that soup peppered until it burns the throat, and nobody else in the family does, so I just peppered my own bowl. That's not really new, but we haven't made it in a year.

I took over DMing a few weeks ago. I think it is about ten times more work, maybe five, and several times more fun in a different way. I like it a lot, but I can see why our previous DM didn't have enough time to prepare. I think... I'd want to DM about 80% of the time, at most, and probab

@Phoenices DMing can be real fun

@AncientSwordRage It's neither fit for man nor beast out there. Leaving my office midday today I almost turned back to do a couple more hours of work rather than brave the walk to the car.
