Q: How do I get a Hero Forge model using a wheelchair?

AncientSwordRageI would like to create a character using a wheelchair in Hero Forge (unaffiliated with me), but I can't find the options under legs, race or gear? Where is the option?

I just found a new-to-me alphabet/script. I might have to "borrow" it for my worldbuilding...
Tifinagh (Berber pronunciation: [tifinaɣ]; also written Tifinaɣ in the Berber Latin alphabet; Neo-Tifinaɣ: ⵜⵉⴼⵉⵏⴰⵖ; Tuareg Tifinagh: ⵜⴼⵉⵏⵗ or ⵜⴼⵏⵗ) is an abjad script used to write the Berber languages.A modern alphabetical derivative of the traditional script, known as Neo-Tifinagh, was introduced in the 20th century. A slightly modified version of the traditional script, called Tifinagh Ircam, is used in a number of Moroccan elementary schools in teaching the Berber language to children as well as a number of publications.The word tifinagh is thought by some scholars to be a Berberised feminine...

Q: Does the Chromatic Draconic Spirit from the spell "Summon Draconic Spirit" get resistance to Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning and Poison or is it a choice?

Ryan ChaplinThe spell states: When you cast this spell, choose a family of dragon: chromatic, gem, or metallic. The creature resembles a dragon of the chosen family, which determines certain traits in its stat block. Some of my fellow DMs believe that because the spell says the creature resembles a dragon ...

@KorvinStarmast a wrinkle you might want to make sure you're accommodating for in the mage bane poison: the idea of casting spells at higher level. If I cast a first level spell in a ninth level slot, do I take 1d6 or 9d6 damage? (Maybe the system makes this clear already.)

A spell cast using a 9th level slot is 9th level, so you'd take 9d6

@AncientSwordRage "Hero Force" company?

The terms and contact options on the website seems to say the company is called Sky Castle Studios

@ThomasMarkov oops
@Someone_Evil ahh
@ThomasMarkov Dash actions never work
They grant extra movement for the turn, not the round.

3:43 PM
@AncientSwordRage Id rather close that question and make NautArch tell us what the actual triggers are.
Hypothetical triggers that may not actually be applicable at the table makes for a mostly unanswerable question.

4:26 PM
@ThomasMarkov I suppose? But note they do say:
> the trigger is specific enough to occur before the attack completes
Given that you can respond to a spell with counter spell as a reaction, and your readied action is a reaction, I don't see any issue with the movement interrupting a spell. — AncientSwordRage 48 mins ago
I wonder how accurate/up to date this and this are? I can't tell if somebody's edited the reddit post recently

Hello, everyone
Hope you're doing alright :)

4:57 PM
I am choosing between procrastination and studying

@AncientSwordRage Former should be, that stuff hasn't changed much/at all, latter isn't by a country mile
It says edited 7 years ago, so it's PHB only

@AncientSwordRage The big comment on reddit was last edited 6 years ago (probably shortly after it was posted on January 27, 2015).
(You can hover over the main timestamp of the comment to see when it was originally posted; the timestamp of when it was last edited is an approximation, and the exact timestamp for the edit doesn't seem to be shown. The rounding seems to differ between the old reddit design and the redesign.)

@V2Blast ah it was so close I assumed it was just a more detailed timestamp
@Someone_Evil gotcha

Hypothetically you could add "Use magic object" as one of the actions which has been better codified in some of the source versions IIRC, but that's kinda into the weeds
And while I think I've seen that thing before, I just now realized how under detailed the conditions reference is

5:30 PM
seems like I have mounts on the mind right now
@bobble tricky choice
I wonder if you could abuse a Sphinx's Lair ability with this sort of capstone ability?
> Perfect Self: At 20th level, when you roll for initiative and have no ki points remaining, you regain 4 ki points.
For instance, you could use Empty Body every round in a Sphinx's lair

@doppelgreener Yes. We ran into it during a battle and discovered, the sorcerer and my bard, "ouch!"

Ah, I think that Goliath herd question was answerable with the setting, but I missed the revert, so I retracted my vote.

@Akixkisu the edit didn't provide a setting?
> Keeping the question, just a sentence at the end to attempt to make this less opinion based

@V2Blast The dreaded blue pencil strikes again (Thank you) 😊

@AncientSwordRage Ye, I read the comments first and jumped to the wrong conclusion :)

@Akixkisu Things I learned today: a group of Goliaths is called a herd. 🤔

@KorvinStarmast I don't think they are, but I'm using the term that identifies the question :)
I'd say tribe.

7:07 PM
@Akixkisu So would I, but the question itself used herd which struck me as odd, or even inaccurate.

@KorvinStarmast It seems to come with a lot of worldbuilding specific assumptions.

@Akixkisu Yep.
@AncientSwordRage That's kinda dehumanizing, to refer to humanoids as a herd. Shame on WoTC. 😋

@AncientSwordRage alt text: two cropped screenshots of the Goliath page from DnDBeyond, showing no results for the word 'herd' but six results for the word 'tribe'
@KorvinStarmast but they don't

@AncientSwordRage Then Shame on DDB. 🤨

7:15 PM
@KorvinStarmast there's 0 results for herd.
I'm not sure where the confusion is? Did somebody replace your coffee with decaff?

@KorvinStarmast Regarding your poison rarity question is, in what sense does the rarity matter (e. g. accuracy, expected loot, etc.)?

@AncientSwordRage You posted a DDB picture with the word herd on it for goliaths. That's where the confusion comes in.

I think there is a good case for rare and uncommon and either argument depends on how you approach rarity in the game.

@Akixkisu Where I might slip it into the treasure tables, for example. And also as a rough gauge of power, though I realize that there's a lot of overlap. AND time to craft. That's probably the more important bit based on DMG/Xanathar's crafting rules being a bit different.

Though, I'm leaning towards uncommon.

7:18 PM
@KorvinStarmast (look at the numbers next to the word herd, and the numbers next to the word tribe)
(and also see my alt text)

@Akixkisu Yeah, My initial sense was uncommon but maybe it needs to be harder/take longer to craft.
@AncientSwordRage that means nothing to me, honestly, in that picture.

I think it should definitely have a unique dose cost that is not in line with uncommon magic items.
But it would be appropriate for uncommon loot tables.

@Akixkisu I must admit to being frustrated that I am being asked what the term "reverse engineer" means. 😥
2
@AncientSwordRage Thanks for clarifying what you intended to convey

@KorvinStarmast it made me look up whether there is a different definiton for the term in some slang :joy:
Back to the poison, the dose cost of around 2000-2500gp seems appropriate when compared to other dose costs which would be inline for a rare magic item, but that is also due to the expectation that it doesn't involve any quest materials that wouldn't be available in a reasonable quantity in some places.
In terms of loot tables, I would place it at uncommon.

@Akixkisu Interesting assessment, I'll ponder that. I don't want to add this to my own DM package without a thorough scrubbing, which I am happily getting.

7:29 PM
@AncientSwordRage This is two small screenshots of D&D Beyond stacked on top of each other, both open to the Goliath page and showing a text search bar along the top (in white). The top screenshot is looking for the text "herd" in the page, and has 0 results. The bottom screenshot is looking for the text "tribe" in the page and has 6 results. Meaning, the page refers to "herd" zero times and "tribe" six times. D&D Beyond is only referring to Goliaths as belonging to tribes, never herds.

@doppelgreener I think that is what he was trying to show me, but that picture did not parse to me. I saw 'herd' and goliath and since it said DDB my first take was "huh, they call them herds in official documents?"
The numbers meant nothing to me as I first saw that.

Apologies for all the confusion I caused with that photo 😰

@AncientSwordRage No harm done, you are still on my Christmas Card list. 😁

I'm too used to using websites on my phone that I forgets it's not always intuitive how the screenshots look...
@KorvinStarmast I'm being given a decaffeinated card, aren't I?
how does KS know where I live...

@AncientSwordRage Not really. Had I looked a bit more closely and pondered before a snap shot response, I would not have introduced the confusion ... 😉

7:36 PM
@doppelgreener thanks for helping clarify

8:09 PM
@AncientSwordRage Bards get Superior Inspiration and basically always have one use left.
@KorvinStarmast I think there's a bigger question here: is it technically a murder of Aarakocra?

@KorvinStarmast wait, ASR's getting christmas cards? I want in!

8:38 PM
@doppelgreener It may have to travel via the electronic post...

9:02 PM
I reopened my question that was closed as a dupe. Dale M closed as a dupe of this question, which seems entirely irrelevant to my question.

Q: Could a wall get a weapons rating?
