Check engine light came on over the weekend, and the symptoms are the same as the last time it came on. Last time it came on, there was an issue with the timing chain. When I was stopped at a light, I could feel my car shaking from the pistons firing out of time.

Same thing is happening this time, car shaking while stopped

The biggest difference for me, that I perceive, is that being in school meant I'd be at school 8 hours a day, and then have to come home and do homework for another few hours, maybe panic about a test I needed to take later in the week, and realize that I'd completely forgotten about the month-long project due tomorrow.

As a working adult, deadlines are still a thing, but if I'm not at work, I don't have to think about work at all. The moment I clock out, my responsibilities end.

And on top of that, working means earning disposable income, meaning instead of having to beg my mother for a cool video game I want, I just buy it whenever I want. Same for any other nonsense I want.

A lot of things in adulthood that *look* cool through a child's eyes are underwhelming once achieved. Life is certainly *different*, with some things getting better and others worse, and yet others staying mostly the same. Things one needs to worry about *change*, replacing some with others. There are also things that depend less on the age of a person and more on the environments. E.g. three different jobs feel *very* different. There are jobs with homework and those without, with needing to deal with many people and without, with a reasonable timetable …

As long as you're gaining the benefits of an effect with a name, any other benefit you get with that name will cause you to take only the higher value.

So if you Heroes' Feast for 6 increased HP, then Feast again an hour later for 5 increased HP, you still only have 6

@PeterCooperJr. dice are the reason I’m faster than at least 3/4 of my class at coming up with probabilities, especially for things like “what is the probability that Carmen rolls more than 10 in total on 3 six-sided dice” and such. It is entirely because of RPGs
