What is "Regrettably French?"

In Victorian England? Being French would often be seen as inherently regrettable.

A: Eek! A troll in the Stack! What do I do?

nitsua60You may have met a troll (intentional or not). Don't worry, the Stack's got you covered. This is actually really easy: you do nothing. Nothing different to normal, that is. All the habits you've developed interacting with good-faith users are going to fix this problem, too. If someone's truly a...

yeah
once upon a time, for long time even, France and England HATED each other

Though I'll say that the distance between "troll" and "new user, frustrated at poorly-communicated rules, invisible norms, and the perception that people are talking down to them, expressing some of that frustration" takes a while to tease out.

@nitsua60 And we've got plenty of sincere long-time users who still have trouble with "If multiple people are independently being confused by what I'm saying, maybe I should try saying it differently."

@kviiri Trying to figure a way to speed up Pathfinder combat, DM side. I'm having problems tracking all the action economy, buffs, debuffs and daily/encounter uses of class features.
@doppelgreener Also, you can get the XP the same if you successfully bypass combat, but there will be less loot, usually.
In my campaign, there's some people running a con scheme. The party decided to go get the proof they need to uncover the truth and in doing so they incapacitated (not killed) two paid bodyguards who knew about the scheme. I wonder if taking away their gold and magic equipment is a-OK or just murderhoboism.

Been a fairly productive Hatmas, looking for old questions to get the votey hat. Even found a few I felt I could weigh in on! If anybody votes for Fate anymore.
