In pathfinder only 4 attacks are allowed per round normally correct?
so if a character has a bab of 26 his attacks are 26, 21, 16, 11 Not 26, 21, 16, 11, 6, 5

Depends on what you mean by 'normally'. If you mean a typical human character, additional attacks are granted basically every 5 increments of BAB.
And those are the attacks you make on declaring a full attack. If you're attacking as a standard action you only get one.
Well, one and your off-hand attacks if you are using TWF.

@MadMAxJr so there is no limit?

That's just progression from BAB bonus, not other sources. I am /assuming/ it would have no limit, but on a progression from level 1 to 20, the best you can do is end up with a +20/+15/+10/+5 if I recall.
If you extended that further, you'd probably gain another attack when your BAB hits 25, but the rules I'm using, that's not possible. I haven't read the Mythic Adventures book to see what happens when you go 'mythic' tier.

I'm very new to Pathfinder; what's a "full attack?"

So there's a hard limit if read-as-written.
@ProfessorLokiCaprion Here's the section covering that: d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#TOC-Full-Attack

Lesse, here...
DX Work-block'd.

In a turn, you have a move action and a standard action. a standard action only grants one attack.
If you were a level 10 fighter, who has a BAB of +10/+5 you could move an make an attack OR use a full-round action and make a full attack, using both of your attacks.

Ah, but it wouldn't affect your AC or anything?

Declaring a charge is the only common combat move that reduces your AC.

Oh, neat!
... at level 2, I'm not terribly worried about this.
I'm wondering if I should take my 3rd level in Sorcerer or, if allowed, Gunslinger. I didn't know Gunslingers existed!

The d20pfsrd online manual has a lot of the book options for you to flip through, along with most of the rules, when you can view it.

6:39 PM
Do you have a lot of gold?

How much is "a lot?"

Gunslingers are kind of equipment-needy and burn a lot of finances on gear/ammo.

Oooh, yeah, you can't fetch bullets like you can fetch arrows...

Well let me put it this way
using a single shot of your gun if you use gunsmithing which reduces the price to 1/10th. It still costs 1 gold for the gun powder and 1 silver for the bullet. So every attack you make costs 1gold and 1 silver.

Crickey!
I'll just take Sorcerer as my 3rd level to build toward Arcane Trickster.

6:44 PM
The only reason I can manage this is cause our DM throws money at us like it's going out of style.

I just like guns!
I'll just shout "bang" when I fire my crossbow, then. :<

@ProfessorLokiCaprion As do I. I spend almost 10 gold per fight though.
The cool thing about gunslingers though is as long as you are close enough you hit foes touch AC which is only their dex bonus.

@Aaron That seems fairly trivial. It's about the same as the cost of a wand charge, IIRC.

@AlexP Yea we are only lvl2 though

7:04 PM
It's not a lot of gold but it's not a little either.

1 hour later…
8:12 PM
@Lord_Gareth Talking about overkill, have your victim in a room and cast major creation: black lotus poison to fill the whole room with so much poison the poor sod will fail enough saves.
Here's my favourite quote of the day: "Life is like a game of cricket, How the hell does one play cricket anyway?"

8:44 PM
@ProfessorLokiCaprion If your DM will allow it you could replace the guns with crossbows.
that would get rid of some of the major costs.

Well, maybe? The entire reason I want to be a gunslinger is for the aesthetic, though; not any mechanical benefit.
I'd be better off saying "could I use this crossbow and just say it looks like a gun?"
I put the "cool factor" before "in-game benefits" for pretty much evertying I do.

9:09 PM
@ProfessorLokiCaprion Nothing wrong with that.

9:47 PM
@ProfessorLokiCaprion Guns are often an intimidating, strong technological change in an early-gunpowder society. Many do not understand the device, thus fear it. I make sure to keep this factor present in my game as an added bonus to combat the difficulties of playing A gunslinger (Cost-dependencies)

@MadMAxJr My DM decided sence I was the only gunslinger (Brought in from a different realm) Most enemies would try to kill me first.

Unfortunately systems like Pathfinder, which don't know the difference between useful mechanics and obstructive mechanics, have managed to overlegislate guns to the point that they're hardly worth the trouble.

10:03 PM
@BESW Yet I have players who still want to play the class. While I don't want to edit the rules to 'fix' them, I find adjusting how the environment (society) reacts to them to be a slight help.

It's still a cool idea, and if there's one useful skill the d20 System teaches us, it's that we shouldn't let a little thing like really obstructionist rulesets get in the way of doing cool, fun things in a tedious fashion.

The class isn't entirely without merit, but it's got rough edges.
When my players ask my opinion of the pros and cons, I do indicate that the ability to hit touch AC can shift the balance with certain kinds of foes.
Of course, that player then went on to consistently roll 2s for damage, despite always hitting.

Q: Is Tasha Lem actually River Song?

DoctorWho22Ok so my question is this... Is Tasha Lem actually River Song? There are a few reasons for me to suspect that she is but I'd really appreciate other people's points of views. Here are my thoughts as to how she may actually be River Song... She is against aging... From what we know is that Riv...

Has anyone NOTICED that the DOCTOR has a SIMILAR NUMBERING SCHEME as that of MICROSOFT WINDOWS?

@BESW ::tries to imagine Doctor Who Me::

Whatever you do, don't think of K9 as Clippy.
"Master? It looks like you're trying to save the world. Would you like some help with that, Master?"

@BESW Too late!
Like three years too late.

11:51 PM
Also, what's the Doctor equivalent of Microsoft Bob?
I'm thinking the Peter Cushing films.

@BESW That was the first question that came to my mind, to be honest.
Should I feel bad?

Do you know of Microsoft Bob only because of xkcd?

Nope.

Then no.

Yay!
