A friend of mine would like to connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to his laptop. The internal adapter got damaged and he would like to buy a new Bluetooth adapter. Does he need one or two? After reading this it seems it heavily depends on the specific of the situation.
For example would something like this allow the mouse and keyboard to be connected and used simultaneously? amazon.com/TECHKEY-Bluetooth-Headphones-Raspberry-Compatible/dp/…

@northerner what on earth.. these things are so cheap and so small, he can buy one and if that's not enough he can buy two. Or he can buy two they're so cheap.
Really surely he'd only need one
A mouse has one, a keyboard has one, and a computer has one acting as a host
A computer doesn't have multiple internal bluetooth adaptors one for each thing that needs to connect!!!

Do most routers with a USB socket tell you which computer is locking/using a file/folder on it, so you can dismount the USB from the computer and then unplug it from the router?

I think it depends on the specific router. For features like that look into Open WRT or Tomato Firmware @barlop

hmm, do most techies use that firmware instead of the standard?

it's got a strong community

@CowperKettle that is a really interesting observation, and first time i've ever thought an image somebody posted into the chat was actually good!

@barlop Depends on the tribe :D
I'd say quite a few would if they haven't moved up to prosumer gear and had to use consumer hear and had an option.
