@djsmiley2kTMW it is, yea. used to have to manually enter tunnel proxy command

@bwDraco it's possible it's intentional. Having that work consistently means predictable if not correct answers

7:28 AM
hey !

1 hour later…
8:33 AM
wow hi andy, long time no see

@djsmiley2kTMW indeed, it's been a while mate. I'm happy to see you
:)
I found JourneyMan in the discord chatroom and I said to myself that I should pop in
and suddenly it feels like home :)
I think that part of me was concerned that me being in multiple chat rooms if seen by my ex employer, would give a bad feeling that I'm more chatting than actually working. That's the reason I've started to come less but f###, now those guys are ex-employers and you've welcome much more than a lot of places I've worked for or 've been

9:18 AM
i should join the discord but.... it stil doesn't feel right to me
discord in general. it's... :S
also, scheduled task to kill a process
I'm guessing caplitisation of the process name matters (at least I hope it does, else this doesn't work! :S )

@AndyK glad you got out!

my boss is likely aware i'm in chatrooms
they even help in my work sometimes
fact is, i need thinking time.

We can all be your ducks!
until we've no ducks left to give ;-P

> C:\WINDOWS\system32>schtasks /create /sc once /st 09:30:00 /tn killsmartconsole1 /tr "taskkill /f /im SmartConsole.exe"
WARNING: The task name "killsmartconsole1" already exists. Do you want to replace it (Y/N)? y
SUCCESS: The scheduled task "killsmartconsole1" has successfully been created.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>taskkill /f /im SmartConsole.exe
SUCCESS: The process "SmartConsole.exe" with PID 25164 has been terminated.
The first one failed to kill anything
the second one, obviously obliterated the process.

10:00 AM
Interesting
Windows is normally fairly relaxed about case
Oh, I see
so it can kill it right away
but it can't schedule something to kill it?
all this smells of writing a cron script to restart a systemd service :D

So I had a fake microSD card (128gb) that my uncle bought for pennies working for about 2 years (i ran a H2testw and came back with 8gb usable storage) so I created a partition with about that size and left the rest unallocated. It worked lol but just a couple of days ago it went kinda crazy so I formatted it and went back to the full space and now everytime I try to shrink a partition it says it's not supported :\
(don't worry, it was only storing music :p)

1 hour later…
11:30 AM
@AndyK well. Depends on the job. I'm alone a lot, and staying in a chatroom helps me stay awake :D

2 hours later…
1:20 PM
@JourneymanGeek hé hé
I would be glad to help you a bit as a mod but the only place where I've been really active is SO so far.

1:59 PM
@JourneymanGeek Yeah. I was thinking bug compatibility...

3 hours later…
5:08 PM
@djsmiley2kTMW Try "... /tr "c:\windows\system32\taskkill.exe /f /im ..."?

5:45 PM
sooooooo i fixed it
but I can't remember how right now
Oh right, created the task as my user rather than admin o_O

6:05 PM
Yea, that would do it too...

1 hour later…
7:13 PM
