@Eugene well, sometimes we have opinions on things. If you need a purchase recommendation - while its not as busy, there's a specific site for hardware recommendations too. Depends on the nature of what you want to ask

So few days ago I had sort of an accident, my Nexus 7 fell into bucket with water (sigh). So I was/am looking for a replacement.

I found few on the web myself, but I am confused regarding Android version, that they are running for example. It is like 3 versions down from the newest one.

my guess would be longer product lifespans

phones tend to change every year, and with phablets the tablet market is not very hot

But mainly I was wondering regarding opinion/experience, that people who chat here, have about what they might have used. Maybe someone here had to switch from Nexus 7 as well at some point. Or something along those lines.

@MichaelFrank Eh, not a huge fan tbh. I'm not saying it doesn't look nice. And I'm a huge fan of SynthWave. I just wouldn't like that in my editor.

@Eugene Android Nougat = 7.0; Android Oreo = 8.0/8.1; Android Pie = 9.0 are the more recent versions of it, you also have Android 10 but I haven't seen one phone with it preinstalled
