Sometimes people ask rather basic questions about something to do with computers, such as: How do I start command line in Windows? How do I find out my IP address? How to I change which program opens files with this extension?
I am asking mainly because sometimes the easiest thing to do would be to answer with a link to some place which has nice answer for the question at hand. And in case of SU I would expect that the links are unlikely to die in the future.
By "basic" questions I meant stuff such that any moderately experienced user definitely doesn't have problem with that - but there are people who have problems with almost anything they have to do on a computer. (I think the examples I mentioned above qualify - in any case, I have been asked many times some things which seemed rather trivial.)
I'm a total noob about TCP/IP, now reading some document (Sams Teach Yourself TCP/IP in 24 hours). However, I still don't get some concepts.

Well, yes - that's true. But if I have to do that repeatedly and with many people, it might be useful to have some link at hand.
Of course, I could write down detailed steps myself (and I sometimes do), but if somebody has already done that, I would save some time.
So basically I was asking whether it is likely that I find some posts with detailed instructions for some basic tasks here on SU.
It seems not to be the case - but certainly I could find such things elsewhere. (I was specifically asking about SU because I would expect links to this site to be more stable and also in this way I would promote Stack Exchange network a bit.)
I'm looking for a catchy and nice-sounding word.
"Screenrecording" is my favourite but I am still not really satisfied.

If anyone here uses Powershell, I've got a simple question. I got a C# Dictionary type using a JSON parser command, and I got .Keys so I could go through the keys. Now I could do foreach just fine, but I'm curious about how it prints. echo myObj.Keys ---> test1 test2 echo myObj.Keys[0] ---> test1 test2
You would think Keys[0] would be only test1, but apparently not. Therein lies my question. Can't seem to figure out how to Google it.
