So... someone at work wanted to take a clip from a CBS news article.
Looking at the network traffic while the video plays shows there are little .ts files in transit. I pulled one of them out and it's a 5 second clip from the video.
Great. -___-
Oh a whim, I googled "CBS video downloader" and tried the first result.
Turns out, it worked perfectly. o__o

So I have a tiny cut on my tongue that just won't heal
and it's realllly bothering me now
It's been like a week

get some bonjella
its ibuprofen infused jelly type stuff
apply it 3 or 4 times a day after food for a few days and you'll be sorted
if it isn't sorted in 5 days go to a doctor but be careful ibuprofen can be addictive

@JourneymanGeek considering that my company is literally called lasagna ltd, who knows what I'll do with lasagna

12:25 PM
haha
when reading a .scr (screensaver file from win3.1) is sooooo hard you write a bot to just fire up windows3.1 installs
While bonjela will stop it hurting.... I'd actually bite it

12:42 PM
if it's stopped healing, your body likely conciders it fixed, even if it's not
biting it hard enough to cause some bleeding may kick start the healing process again.

Disclaimer, I'm not a doctor, but it worked for me.

1:09 PM
bonjela also has a mild antiseptic in it which will clear up any minor infection without resorting to self mutilation

1:30 PM
boo hiss.

1:51 PM
@Burgi bonjella is the schiz

2:50 PM
There's a thing that used to be on sale here that was excellent for things like mouth ulcers
Adcortyl in orabase
Basically a bit of steroid to reduce inflammation with something to coat the surface and prevent painful contact
Bonjela is good
But this knocked Bonjela into a cocked hat

3:07 PM
whoaaaaaaaaaaaa
@bertieb ambisol is the winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

oh hi Mark Indonesia
@djsmiley2k anusol, you say...
But actually ambisol is not a drug I am familiar with

> The problem was CPU, FX 8350 doesn't support 4dimms of 1866MHz memory so I needed to dowclock manuely also the timings in bios with 2sticks. Then after that, added 2sticks more and now I'm running 1333MHz 8-9-8 stable with 4dimms 16gb 4x4gb.
my cpu should support 16Gb, right?
@bertieb magic teething juice
I now realise i havent' shared what CPU I have :D

So it turns out you can actually have the latest Apple UI fonts on Win 7. It was easier than I thought.

* download font dmg's from apple developer
* extract otf's using 7zip
* select the otf's and install
* copy the "aero" theme hier under WINDIR/Resources/Themes, so you get editable files (the originals are owned by trustedinstaller)
* rename the relevant theme files to follow the main "theme" file name
* edit the main theme file (config file) to address the display name
* set registry values under HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/.../Fonts Segoe UI* to empty

that's cool, but prob against all kinds of tos

they are publicly downloadable... idk. i'm not really that geeky about apple look, but recently got heavily into fonts in general...
used to be you needed a conversion utility under linux, but not anymore... what I'm trying to say, UI fonts are quite a PITA to get right.
after messing about with that, I was quite excited to bring back the default Segoe UI :))

4:58 PM
@rahuldottech you sure you're not subconsciously picking your teeth with your tongue?

5:53 PM
... gaming related
premise of the video: there might be some issues coming regarding Borderlands 3

6:46 PM

7:39 PM
@AgnesK.Cathex It's totally possible that I cut my tongue on my braces, but I've been trying to be careful to avoid further damage...
@Burgi I'll check it out, thanks!

I've had enough with MetroCard.

9:28 PM
it is a little flimsy
they should adopt the plastic CC style cards that london uses

9:44 PM
@Burgi OMNY can't come soon enough.

...TIL Qualcomm is pulling the same tricks AMD's doing with core-level speed binning. The Snapdragon 855 has two clusters, but within the faster Kryo 485 Gold cluster, one of the four cores is a faster Kryo 485 Gold Prime.
In other words, Qualcomm is binning cores individually and designating one of those cores as able to run faster than the rest. Sound familiar?
AMD does this with 3rd Gen Ryzen where only one core is truly able to hit the full boost speed, and Intel does this with a handful of HEDT chips with what's called Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0.
FWIW the Snapdragon 855 is fabbed on TSMC CLN7FF, just as 3rd Gen Ryzen is...
Or... looks like I'm mistaken. The Prime Core has extra cache, meaning it's not a random core among the four Gold cores.
How on Earth does this work?
So it's not a binned core, but one core designed to run faster than the rest.

@rahuldottech: On "equated monthly installment" (EMI) plans: why is this kind of payment arrangement specifically called as such in India?
(AIUI EMI plans generally don't allow prepayment; they're most similar to the "Plan It" feature that American Express cards offer here in the US)
Why is it called "EMI" and not "installment plan"?
