Guys! the CEO of Credder wants to... call me?
I wrote this article, and sent them an email asking for a response and...
> Hi Rahul,

My name's Chase Palmieri and I'm the CEO and one of the three cofounders of Credder. I REALLY appreciated your article Why "Rotten Tomatoes" for News is a Terrible Idea. There's a ton of great feedback in the piece, and you're right that the model is imperfect and people will try to game it, etc.

I'd love to elaborate more over a phone/video call. I can walk you through the site and we can discuss each of your concerns. I don't expect to convince you that our model is perfect, because it isn't. But I do think it'd be a great discussion and good for you to hear more about our a
lmao
I'm too nervous for calls, man

4:23 AM
@avazula My SE swag should arrive soon too! It's stuck at customs atm.

5 hours later…
9:43 AM
@JourneymanGeek have you run into any exceptions? i.e. you plug an external monitor into a laptop and you need to restart for it to be detected / for it to get a signal? (also, how about when using HDMI<-->DisplayPort adaptors)

Nope but I have never used hdmi to DP

2 hours later…
12:13 PM
@JourneymanGeek
My Audio Technicas arrived!
It doesn't have very good low-ends

12:53 PM
@JourneymanGeek bass is... Poor
Mids and highs are cool

> Rapid7 Director of Research Tod Beardsley was one of the spectators. "My first reaction," Beardsley joked, "was, man, I wish a vendor would punch me for disclosure. Boy, that beats any bug bounty."
lol

Am currently doing a fresh install of Windows 10 on a newly formatted hard drive and its been stuck at "Getting files ready for installation 82%" for two days, does anybody have suggestions for what to try next?

3:20 PM
@CharlieBrumbaugh switch off PC, create new install media
If it still doesn't work, check your disk
A windows 10 install should almost never take more than an hour
Two days is ridiculous

@rahuldottech We have been using that USB stick to boot and install on lots of other computers and some very recently so I don't think its USB drive

@CharlieBrumbaugh give it another shot, and if it doesn't work, try what I mentioned above
The install process shouldn't actually use the hard disk till you choose where to install to
I once won gold in a competition by putting flashing LEDs on an Arduino, a randomized seven segment display, a colored terminal on my PC and by throwing this word around a lot. Good days, man.

3:41 PM
lol

@CharlieBrumbaugh Think what you like, @rahuldottech's suggestion is sane.
@rahuldottech lol.

I will give it a try
I once had project where where the idea was to randomly shuffle a deck of cards in Java, the problem was at the end of my program sometimes there would only be 50 cards left out of 52. So I just didn't print how many cards were left and turned the project in

4:06 PM
... Then you told the teacher they can't count, right?

1 hour later…
5:30 PM
I passed my programming module at uni, yet nothing I wrote ever worked

@CharlieBrumbaugh That's not a bug, it's an "I dropped a couple cards on the ground during the shuffle" feature

@CharlieBrumbaugh That sounds like you missed an opportunity to learn about fence posts :)

It only came up short randomly, for all I know it worked perfectly when the teacher ran it

6:34 PM
I'm oddly intrigued where the other two went

@djsmiley2k He palmed them :)

Quantum entanglement. Someone somewhere gets 54 cards, and very confused.

@djsmiley2k flips BOFH excuse calendar hysteresis interference from an NFC card

7:28 PM
yey A3 cutting mat is here
for some reason Amazon sent it in what looks like a A1 envelope

8:13 PM
I just called the automated system for getting my free credit report... Question 2 was my DOB... Question 6 was how old am I today...

Quest 7 was if you grokked math?

Question 8 was your date of birth, but in 8601 format

question 9: Where you born on a Monday?
@CharlieBrumbaugh Two days sounds fair
'3+ months for windows 7 to get it uo update (install is fast. I gave up on windows update after letting it run for 2+ weeks).
win8: never installable (well, until you swap the memory, then it was peachy)
win 10: never works unless you had a newfangles USB3 pendrive

8:39 PM
It's alive \o/

It that a paper notepad+.exe ?

lol close enuf yah
I need to stick the floppy disk on, for save functionality.

9:07 PM
I still got a USB based floppy
Not like the old times where you connected it to your ISA adaptec 1542 CF card
ah, ye old days
ISA: Ne2000
ISA: 1542 CF and CD
PCI: NCR810
PCI: NCR825D
PCI: Adaptec 2940UW
PCI: 3com 905B cyclone
PCI: Graphics
'no room left for sound. Way to few expansion slots
I guess that is part why I still want threathripper

2 hours later…
10:40 PM
@Hennes Yeah, those PCIe lanes are one of the biggest draws of the Ryzen Threadripper platform. 60 PCIe lanes (plus four for the chipset) let you run three graphics cards with full x16 bandwidth (or four cards in a x16/x16/x8/x8 configuration), plus 12 more lanes for NVMe SSDs (many Threadripper boards have three M.2 slots to take full advantage of this capability).
More than just the processor cores.
