Yeah, I muted the bot due to the combo of it being annoying and abrasive/abusive
but that's just me, I don't think it necessarily needs banned
if there were still regular actual discussions or chat happening in here I'd perhaps reconsider
but while we're not quite in tumbleweeds town yet, we're a lot less active than we used to be
(an enterprising individual might consider graphing the #messages per day over time to back that up)

And Electric cars don't work in super cold temperatures like Northern Canada
That's an interesting point about electric vehicles in extreme climates. While it's true that cold temperatures can reduce the efficiency and range of electric cars due to battery performance issues, advancements are being made to mitigate these challenges. Improved battery technologies, thermal management systems, and software updates are all working towards making electric vehicles more reliable in extreme temperatures. Additionally, block heaters and heated garages can help maintain ...

@XKCD XKCD #2948 Explained: Internal combustion engines are the most common technology used to propel vehicles. In US vernacular, the most common motor fuel is known as "gasoline", or "gas" for short, leading to these engines being referred to as "gas engines".

OakBot knows all the proper arguements, lol.

In my town, we can go from +40 to -40 C in the same year, and apparently, unless one has a heated garage, the batteries are messing up after only a few years, and warranties don't replace them. Plus, our public insurer in my province wrote off a less-than-one-year-old EV because there was a crack in a battery casing during a motor vehicle accident, again because of the cost of replacement
I really, really, REALLY want to be able to move to fully electric, but the money doesn't make sense in my area

Experimental KSMBD install is up
no proper benchmarks but it feels fast (and I think saturated a gigabit link), but naturally the package on ubuntu was broken and needed significant faffing around to get working
