Spent yesterday migrating everything over to the xeon :D
got some furniture assembly (there's a local place that does gorgeous solid wood stuff and I bought a cheapish knockdown bench/small table from them) and hopefully stand up/build the old PC I rescued at my own place

i've got a computer that has a dodgy wireless adaptor.. I have tried connecting with a wireless usb and it has been ok for a while but has now gone wrong.. I'm wondering if there is any pi based WiFi adaptor where when it goes wrong it is built for troubleshooting and can really show what's going wrong, not like one of these prepackaged products that doesn't show diagnostic data?
when i disabled the wireless usb Wifi adaptor and enable it, then it works again.. but i'd like to know more re what's going on.
And if the Pi based WiFi adaptor works perfectly then great. But if it cuts out.. i'd like to see diagnostic data
hm
a pi based wireless adaptor is not a thing
A pi probably uses a seperate chip not that different from a PC one

well, that chip might be very programmable and provide diagnostic data
14:27
naw
especially on machines made to a budget, its unlikely

I am talking about a specialist add on chip for that kind of thing
so a transmitter/receiver chip
not even a chip but a card or something like that..
the pi has all sorts of DIY projects
an arduino type project, even, like a chip on a breadboard
