What are people's experience with YubiKeys? In what way are they better than authentication apps? It seems like apps could be better since they can be password protected and backed up.

@northerner its 'easier' in the sense that you don't need to key in a code in a time limit

problem is support for them isn't 'great'

and the idea is you have a secure uncopyable device

If its lost you revoke the device

and since its based off a standard (FIDO2 et al) you can pick up one from any vendor that supports that

@northerner I concur with everything @JourneymanGeek says about them. I do like that it fits on my keychain, and I got the NFC version that also authenticates to my phone without me plugging it in
