12:04 AM
Since I'm in here, database maintenance is starting, will affect all SE network sites

1:03 AM

14 hours later…

@JoshZhang might be worth trying server fault. It's on scope for them. If it's a personal project, probably leave out that detail 😁
I doubt most people would infrastructure as code their home network tho

4:17 PM
Do you select 'safe eject' on that seatbelt?

Damn Intel CPU's. Just a webcam and ms teams and I am at (well, over) 100% CPU.
about 5 frame per sec left. Mouse laggings
I thought those days were over
And I did test my plan (webcam, obs, team with virtual webcam) before on my own laptop and there it ran smoothly
Granted, comparing a Q2 2019 CPU with a A2 2019 CPU
(i5-8365U is i9-9900)

2 hours later…
6:12 PM
Wow, suggested usage conditions for i9-9900....; includes in a tablet
PC I can understand. Client to, whatever that precisely may be. But tablet?

6:51 PM
@Hennes I believe the use cases are mostly winter-related, keeps the hands warm ;-P

7:32 PM
65 to 105W warm
well, plus heat from the rest of the system
As for hand warmers. In the winter I do miss terra's sun (terra.stack.urc.tue.nl was a sun sparc with a HUGE MEGA SIZED 21" BW CRT)
in 1991 (or '92?) that was impressive
Right, max input current on the laptop CPU increased from 70 to 75 amp,
And max turno reduced from 4100Mhz to 2400Mhz.

it is now much faster
I have sustained workload, so max turno from base 1.6GHz to 4.1Ghz was a 'spint max out, the slowly crawl the rest of the way to finish)
Constant max of 4 cores at 2400 is much faster for non burst loads

2 hours later…
9:19 PM
Gah.
owr POWER
60 aMP IS NOT ENOUGH, LETS GO TO 80 amp
OH WAIT, i WAS ALREADY FROM 7U0 aMP TO 81 aMP.
hOW ARE MY BACKUPS
Why, disable all turbo and power limits helped
Whee. Disabke all limit. Max turbo 25x (rather than 41x).
slowing down is faster

9:45 PM
Finally , max current 70 -> 5 (!) increase.
Thortling reason: thermal
mabye if I c=increase everything by 25%
and make backups
Backups first

2 hours later…
11:22 PM
But did you make a backup?
