Why are people voting to migrate this question to StackOverflow. It's not even in scope there.

Q: Is PHP 7.2 compatible with Windows 7

NewSitesThe PHP Manual section on installation requirements says "As of PHP 7.2.0 Windows 2008 and 7 are no longer supported." The section on compatibility of version 7.2 says, near the bottom under Windows Support "The officially supported, minimum Windows versions are now Windows 7/Server 2008 R2." T...

It has no code, the question is about if PHP 7.2.x can run on Windows 7, seems sort of obvious the question is within scope.

I'm simply downvoting, as it's too basic of a question... Download and try it out, FFS

can you view two models at once in the windows mixed reality viewer?

No clue

i'm trying to google it but all i'm getting is promotional "microsoft is awesome" type stuff.
do you guys have a bot in here? a weird little paper clip just showed up and put that message in the super user search bar.

ah.

@ThatBrazilianGuy I like Star Trek Online. It's a freemium money grabber, with an opt out of buying a lifetime subscription for like £140 or so (often discounted to £70).
Apart from getting a load of fairly mediocre stuff when signing up you also get a £5 monthly stipend of in game money. I've not logged in for two years so there's about £150 sitting in my account.

2:18 AM
But if you decide to join the game, let me know and I'll add you to our chat

> In 1999, successful Dutch artists Ferry Corsten and Tiësto joined forces to create the trance partnership of Gouryella.
Hah, no wonder I liked them then...

2:58 AM
@CanadianLuke - "as it's too basic of a question" it took me 20 minutes to determine if Windows 7 was supported.

3:16 AM
Yup

3 hours later…
6:37 AM
how young must you be not to know Clippy by its name??

6:49 AM
@jokerdino maybe just a free software or mac user

does Clippy violate @GDPR?

@jokerdino Microsoft @Bob does

Bob
7:16 AM
@jokerdino Well... I mean... it's called Clippit
Clippy was a nickname :P

7:54 AM
I choose not to believe.

2 hours later…
Bob
10:00 AM

what's the best way to wipe a zfs hdd :D

10:10 AM
@Bob just hit the device with shred? ;p

2 hours later…
12:01 PM
dd, shred, the disk that auto runs dd?

Bob
12:14 PM

300 MB/s isn't bad for HDDs

12:27 PM
indeed

Bob
damn, it dropped to 200 MB/s :P

12:46 PM
@bertieb the title here is wrong

Whoops! Good catch thanks :)
I really need a more efficient way of managing YT uploads
I am scripting the heck out of doing the custom thumbnails
But doing similar titles, keywords, game/date etc settings is tedious
@djsmiley2k Fix'd đź‘Ť

how do you upload em, just on the site?

The title card for DRG was an extra pain, as I had to figure out to to get imagemagick to do text gradients (ie generate a solid gradient then apply the text as an alpha mask)
@djsmiley2k Yea
Is there a better way?!

I dunno
I just upload directly from my PS4, no editing or nothing ;D

Heh, fair enough :P
But now I've started doing the custom thumbnails etc I cant stop D:

12:51 PM
my friend does edit his
and one of his sonic ones went huge
few hundred k views
but now he's constantly just chasing that, and I couldn't care less.

Yea, I'm torn between "if you're gonna do something do it right" and "eh, this is mostly for people who know me anyways"
I used to do full on editing (my favourite was a set of Flashpoint clips sync'd to Boom! Shake the Room) but you know the old saying
Ten minutes of footage is an hour of editing
I can just about keep up with myself if I just do uploads, custom thumbnails and descriptions
I have a terabyte of backlog to get through IIRC?
I used to do (timecode links to) highlight moments, but that took up too much time
Even watching the video back at 1.5x speed didn't gain much
(Been meaning to write an OBS plugin or AHK script to note a timecode on a button/key combo press)
But even that would rely on actually remembering to hit the button when something interesting/funny/cool happens :P

Please refresh my memory: isn't it Super User policy to not have generic tags that are simply the company name?

2:11 PM
@Run5k Seems so, at least as of '14

Bob

@bertieb that's what I thought... thanks for the reminder. It looks like the Microsoft tag was created less than two weeks ago and already has eleven different questions utilizing it. I assume that it would take a stronger Jedi to actually delete it?

@Run5k 'pleasure! I think mods can prevent the [re]creation of a particular problematic tag, but I might be making that up...

nope
takes a CM to blacklist a tag, and its hard to get one to do it. We just delete all references to a tag and hope people know better

Ah okay
I stand corrected :)

2:30 PM
if its a small number of posts, and its got a meta post - especially with shambling undead tags like company tags...
just edit them away at leisure

Understood. Thanks for the feedback!

and now I have had a long day and will go to bed ;p

2:57 PM
My way was (I killed at a tag that had 400+ questions at one point) - you edit the description on the tag to 'DO NOT USE - use xxx instead where appropriate', and then you start editing

@djsmiley2k 400+ could just use some shog cleaning

@Bob ...
On the feedback form:
"Were the Postage rates reasonable?" "-5000 stars"

@jokerdino lol

6:40 PM

7:21 PM
@djsmiley2k Listening to some ancient music throwbacks to the 90's
Ancient by my standard, anyway. Stuff I was listening to as a pre-teen

I'm listening to vnv nation ATM :D

Somehow I've never heard of them :-(
I used to have a library of around 12,000 music tracks before I was a teenager. Halfway through university it'd gone up to a bit over 30,000. Until I lost the whole lot. So far managed to find/rebuild about 3000 of those tracks on Spotify, gonna be a while before I reach the whole lot
If I were going by chronological order I'd say I'm about halfway through 1998 now.

7:51 PM
lol
i realised there's no point anymore hoarding music

8:18 PM
It's not hoarding if it doesn't belong to you!

8:35 PM
:D

hi, anyone here use Visual Studio?

> Perhaps most notably, however, Atteberry himself designed Clippy but then never had to see the character again. As it turns out, Clippy was designed on a Mac and Atteberry is a Mac user:

As much as people hate Clippy, when I meet [fans], they say, “Oh god I HATED THAT! That’s so cool!” But I totally understand the annoyance factor there. I didn’t really experience it myself, because I’m a Mac guy. In fact, I designed Clippy on a Mac.
@Bob The designer called it "clippy"

@Nick Plenty of folks do -- just go ahead and ask your question

I got an error MSB42

@Nick Well does the file exist?
@Nick And is it in on the search paths?

8:44 PM
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\BuildTools\MSBuild\Microsoft does not contain WindowsXaml
it should have come with uwp, i think
@DavidPostill Oh! thank you. I found C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Professional\MSBuild\Microsoft\WindowsXaml\v15.0\Microsoft.Windows.U‌I.Xaml.CSharp.Targets
do i have to rename things now or should i update msbuild.exe.config?

9:08 PM
Yes, copied the WindowsXaml file from where I found it to where it was needed. My build is going without error!

Can someone tell me a simple way to download a video file if you have an m3u8 link?
I used the instructions given in this link, but the resultant mp4 is corrupt and won’t open:
