@djsmiley2k this is great. Don't stop doing this. When I was a kid I used to watch educational TV channels a lot. And they definitely shaped a part of who I am. Nowadays, I suppose you just have YouTube instead of traditional TV, but make sure your kid explores all sorts of educational topics on YouTube. It's great exposure.

My port forward list used to be just as long, but then I decided using VPN would be more secure. Now I only have two or three ports forwarded.

Mostly as a backup in case the VPN fails, even though that's totally unnecessary because I have alternative, secure remote console access anyway

I mean I look at what I'm looking at I don't look at what I'm not looking at and if you're getting CA on what you're not looking at that's your eyes not your specs

For example, if I'm facing my screen, I see them if I shift my eyeballs to the left or right to look at the edge of my monitor without turning my head

Also what's a 16 year old kid doing with specs, you're not supposed to start getting blind till you're 25

@noitsbecky Mine's pretty strong. I can't read regular text on paper/screen if it's more than a foot from my face, and while I can do normal stuff and bike and take walks without them, I don't feel comfortable doing so

So I pretty much wear them the entire time I'm not asleep

Well I guess if you have more than +/-2 dioptre on your lenses some CA around the edges is fairly normal unless you have some extremely high end glass.

Actually it's more the coatings than the glass itself that matters, but eh.

I've got more experience with CA on DSLR lenses than human eye optics mostly because I don't use much of the latter.

Hmm I wonder if the fact I keep going to human opticians might be why they can't figure out what's wrong with my eyes.

@rahuldottech 3.5/4.25 sph is fairly... medium. It's certainly not extremely bad but then again for a 16 year old it might be if it keeps getting worse. I think above +/-4 or 5 or so you can't get contact lenses strong enough

Also what I don't get is, if SE has such a problem with people using curse words, why not just implement a filter, at least then it would a) be consistent and b) save a lot of work for users and mods alike
