@ThatBrazilianGuy I think what happened was that in the early days of dial-up internet, there were ISPs who gave you some help documentation on how to pick your email username, and it was something like "other people have probably chosen the word you've thought of, so add some digits at the end"
@allquixotic Here it was quite common a few years ago to see usernames with the current year at the end. It always puzzled me: "are you going to create a new email account each year?"
come to think of it, every email address I've used for something significant has always been without any numbers, except for cases where my email address is assigned to me without me getting any say in what it is
> something like "other people have probably chosen the word you've thought of, so add some digits at the end"
Makes sense, because north americans and English speakers in general had early (and more popularized) Internet access , the "number-free" usernames were "spent" earlier?
@PatoSáinz FUCK YOU GOVERNMENT FOR CREATING AN UNIVERSAL PATTERN USED ONLY ON OUR COUNTRY AND THUS FORCING US ALL TO SPEND MONEY ON CHANGING THE OUTLETS tier:
@allquixotic Used Android app for data transfer both ways to determine best placement for my laptop for optimal bandwidth from router and guess what? It was not polarization because all I had to do is move laptop 2 inches to the right.
@JourneymanGeek No, it is legal, government regulated and stuff. Just ridiculous.
Has anybody seen @flote? Last time he was around he helped me (well, at least tried to) with some help vampire request of mine and I'd like to return the favor by gifting him an IHB bundle.
